lets hope the world does end before they manage to butcher another IP LFD tools are great for cramming people into content, but quality > quantity. |

No... I want a UO2 but I want a well done UO2 that sticks to the core aspects that made the game so unique. Mythic is just a shell of its former self after EA bought and gutted it, so no thanks.

What I'm wondering is if they want to make it because they want to redeem themselves/make a good mmo, or if they just want a project to work on so they can hold on to their jobs. Either way it's pretty ballsy of them to do this because they still have those EA shackles grasping tightly around their ankles. I, like many others, have lots of nostalgia for the old place, but I still feel drained from the old flamewars. The community can't decide on what UO is ... the secret sauce is different for everyone... but how can I support a theoretical sequel when I can't imagine getting more than handful of people to agree on any one design?

Mythic may have screwed up Warhammer, but Garriot screwed up Tabula Rasa.
I actually think their version of Warhammer wasn't that bad. People were expecting DAOC 2.0 and they didn't get it, so that probably caused the game to fail.
I think Mythic could pull off a new Ultima. What company would you suggest attempt it? |

So they'll make another game that plays exactly like Warhammer, and Rift....yeah a 3rd one of these games I doubt would be a good thing. But then again third time's the charm?
