"It is fun because when you die you have to run another half an hour! What? This makes no sense - maybe. I mean, I didn't thought that before either, but now I'm having more and more fun just to survive as long as possible and maybe get one or two kills if I'm lucky.

Like yesterday in Liege: the west side was mostly controlled by Axis and the east side by Allies. I just got the anti tank guy unlocked. So I wanted to try it out on this one Allied tank standing on the west side of the river behind a little wall. It was not so easy to get near to the tank. There was also a sniper or something in the church tower on the other side of the river and possibly some more stuff. Eventually I managed to get right in front of the tank but because of the wall I couldn't really get my AT rifle into position. So I lay there for a few minutes not daring to stand up as left and right my comrades were falling. Finally I put down some smoke grenades and crawled back to find a better place. With my last smoke grenades I then managed to get into a building across the street from which I could get a better view on the tank. I found a nice window to set up my rifle and got three shots off. Then I died. Apparently the shots didn't hit anything important.

This was actually fun, just surviving so long and I could have survived even longer if I had escaped after getting three shots off...but you know, maybe just one more would have done it, just one more..."

"I have played wwii since it first came out and beleive me , it has one of the highest replayability rates of any game. The fight is never the same twice, your not confined to any arena, everyone is on the same battlefield, grab a bomber from the rear, and go bomb the fight, or grab Fighter or AAA and tear down the bombers, snag a tank and tear up the AAA, break out the ATG and smoke the tanks, pull out the machinegunner and mow down the ATGs, mortars, paratroopers, whatever your pleasure. I could go on all day about this game..."

The grest thing about WWIIOL is the fact that you have a choice of the pace of the game you want to play, that this player testimony catches so very well:

"I've played many MMOs in my time, but this game is the only one I've always come back to, time and time again. Fantastic, that is the best way to describe this game."

"This is a unique game. I have been a member off and on since the beginning (Originally called World War II: Online Blitzkrieg) in 1999. Not everyone likes it, some say it is a waste of time. But there is no doubt that the nostalgia I get from this (and vanilla/bc WoW) are the best times of gaming that I have ever had. It is worth a try from EVERYONE!"

Again a MOD needs to lock this false thread.  We can all sit here and quote "people" but this spamming of false feedback is laugable.  Please show us more respect and lock this down.

We were asked my a mod to not call out specific players in these posts.  Any chance we can get this locked then? It's just Stug posting hearsay.  I can see if it was actual users who were posting to keep it open.  Thanks!

His point has been made, or ruined.   So has mine.  End this.  This false info is what led me to spend money on a game that isn't alive and then costs me a lot of money to unsub from.  If I would have gotten on this site first and found the actual state of the game I wouldnt have spent my hard earned money on it like I did and had the headaches it caused.

One person spamming false positives or made up data is detremental to all of the real gamers out here, you know the ones that don't have extra money to throw at a game that is dead, and its all  because of 10 people that don't want their 11 year old game to die.

$17.99 for a premium account? Good lord! How can they charge so much for a game of this caliber. I think I'll have to pass on this one. But thanks for the information I guess.

The real kicker is if you were a day-1 subscriber they raised the premium price to $12.99.  If you quit the game they offered you the same tier for $9.99.   So people who were loyal customers are forced to pay $12.99 while people who left can come back for $9.99 ? How is that for customer relations.   It's not so much the $3 that is the big deal it is the principle of the matter.  That and on top of all the bugs and CRS attitude towards customers no wonder they are down to a handul of fanboi's and 18 player server population.   With no word of bug fixes sicne thier self-admitted failed launch in 2011 seriously what do they expect. 

Back in the day with the battles we had and the large server population I would pay $17.99 to get that back. Not going to happen.   Even Free-2-Play go look at the server population now look at the numbers it's pathetic.
