That you interprete this as 'being made better' tells enough about how you think the current diablo 3 is shit. |

I agree. F**K that loser. He should mull over his own failures rather than worrying about other people's sucesses.

The thing is David didn't even say he would have made a better game. All he said was he would have made some different decisions. Nothing to get that upset over.

Diablo 3 sold 10 million copies, thats their get out of jail free card for life.

Originally posted by expresso Yeah, but he D3 sold 10 million copies because of the reputation of the franchise Brevik helped to create, not because of anything Wilson did. So Wilson was really standing on the shoulders of his predecessors.

Originally posted by 7star Wilson helped bring D3 to market. It would have been hella difficult to sell ten million copies if there were no game. Originally posted by zymurgeist Come on, you know as well as all of us do. The hype was incredible. The ads were numerous. Hype alone can carry sales and the fact that it had the name 'diablo' and 'blizzard' also helped sales. Heck, many people ordered it without even playing a single bit. Box /digitalsales are thus not a good indication of whether it is a good game.
The real test will be the inevitable next expansion. Expect the hype machine to work overhours again to hype this expansion into the heavens, but do not expect recorcd braking sales again. |

Originally posted by Hurvart The quality of D3 is very high. Don't get quality confused with design just because you don't like it. As for the rest, once again we shall see. "Any sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice." ~Greys Law |

Originally posted by zymurgeist You're confusing your opinion of D3 with the objective truth of it. Regardless, Blizzard could have puked in photoshop and animated it a bit, and sold it in a pretty package - and it would still have sold millions of copies because it's called Diablo and it's by Blizzard who made WoW. WoW vanilla was partially created by Blizzard North, by the way. There's no way to establish that D3 sold well because it's a great game. |

The comment was deserved in my book but still such attitude is not professional and stupid, by doing so you only get on a level you are bitching about. |

Originally posted by Gdemami The interviewer baited and manipulated Brevik into being unusually frank, if you watch that video. He gave his honest opinion when asked - and that's a lot more valuable than some PR bullshit that's so common in the meaningless media saturated world we live in. |

Blizzard North big four was David Brevik, Bill Roper, Max and Erich Shaefer (who created Runic after leaving Blizzard North) |
