"Not 100% completed" could mean 95% completed, so it's hard to say what the implications are. I would be surprised if someone doesn't hit 80 before the official launch, and really surprised if no one makes it in the first week.

Originally posted by Connmacart I'm not sure if their hours played to 80 esimation is anywhere near close. Reached lvl 27 in maybe 20 hours of play during BWE#2 just doing W v W v W. If time per level is roughly the same for every level as they say I would be looking at less than 80 hours til 80 myself. I mean clearly the source for the OP's article isnt really reliable and I suspect there will be plenty for people to do for quite awhile just judging on how little I actually accomplished as opposed to what was available. Pretty much spent all of BWE#3 just exploring cities. twitch.tv/boonmackle |

Game developers are always tweaking some aspect of their game post launch. I'm sure the "end-game" content is there, they probably meant they it is still being tweaked and tested. Seriously, the age of games being "100%" complete is over. Even console games have patches now. As someone above stated, if a game dev until their game was "100%" complete to release, it probably never would. ANet has this under control. I actually have faith them, unlike a couple of other developers. *points to Bioware and Blizzard* |

As others said, end game is never 100% completed. What worries me more is quality of end game content which IS completed :)

I'm not going to let this news bug me until I hear a direct quote from ANet themselves. And define endgame, is Orr not done, the legendary weapons aren't available yet, can I still get all the achievments in every map I go to? Just saying "endgame" for gw2 is just to vague.

I consider the promise of GvG endgame. Observer mode is a valuable tool in that specific kind of endgame. None of those will be ready at release, but Anet made that clear a long time ago.
If they pull a Funcom and announce (later today) that: Hey, WvW and sPvP was just not as fun as we thought so we are skipping those features: I would be ready to enter dramamode. Going drama because of old news and the fact they were honest about it? Sorry not about to ;-)

IF true, it really depends on what is completed or not. If explorable dungeons aren't... then I would be irritated. I guess we'll have to see. I hope they don't really believe "it will take time to get to endgame" cause it's one of the fastest levelling I've ever seen...

Originally posted by Volkon So they are admitting the game isn't going to be complete for launch. They are releasing the game incomplete. This would bother me more if I didn't intend to spend 100% of my time in WvWvW. Now if I can't play WvWvW at launch, then you'll hear me rage. |

Even if the rumor about PvE end-game launching unfinished were true; I'll be working on 3-5 characters up to 80 before you see me complaining about the lack of stuff to do. Someone that has set their sights on focusing a single character might get bored IF they despised pvp, but that is not me at all. I love playing a game from each classes' perspective, and I enjoy well-designed pvp. Worst-case scenerio insinuated here sounds like months of fun before I dig out my pitch fork and torch. Should be enough time to flesh out whatever is rumored to be missing. |

Originally posted by GrumpyCharr Only thing I read except for the OP is on 4chan /vg, where someone claiming to be in the closed beta said they were testing Orr last week. No link since it's 4chan, and yeah it's 4chan, so it could be pure BS. Also I seem to recall some video interview with an Anet employee a month ago who said they were still working on Zhaitan but I cant remember where it was.
I'm not in a rush for Zhaitan but I'm sure there are those who wants to finish the game as soon as possible for various reasons. Lets hope Anet is ready for those. |

My sister's friend's brother-in-law's cousin went to Gamescom and heard Anet devs say that the final boss would be a panda. Since he wrote it on portuguese forums, it also must be true!

I'm not worried. My endgame involves rolling alts, crafting everything that can be crafted, and a daily dose of WvW.
