I've honestly been waiting for the day that a hardware review was posted that Quizzical completely and utterly dismantled.
This has made working on Sunday worth it! |

They really...put...Origin...in the name? no.....no. Also, i support the idea that you guys should let Quizzy do the Hardware reviews. It just makes perfect sense. He's put in like 10k posts, and his advice is invaluable. Do It. The Deep Web is sca-ry. |

I don't think you want me doing laptop reviews. I'm not a laptop guy. I'd be like, it's a laptop, and therefore, it's bad. |

Originally posted by Toxia It's the company name, so putting Origin in the name is kind of like putting Acer, Asus, MSI, or Lenovo in the name. http://www.originpc.com/Default.aspx Origin's business model seems to be, pick your preferred form factor, and then they'll cram the most powerful gaming hardware into it that they can. But that's why they offer the three particular laptops that they do and no others. They're the most powerful gaming laptops available to them in their respective form factors. And then they'll charge you maybe 20% more than it would cost you to get the same hardware from another site. But at least they don't even offer any cheap junk hardware, so if you've got lots of money and want a powerful gaming system, but don't know anything about hardware, don't want to learn anything about hardware, and don't want to ask anyone who knows anything about hardware, you can go to them and you'll get something nice. You'll overpay for it, but overpaying for a good system at least beats overpaying for a piece of junk. |

Originally posted by Quizzical lol i was aware of why their name was on it. I was just picking on the other Origin *elbow jab* *snort* Luckily for me, I dont WANT to play ANY game on a small little laptop. Just makes no sense. Either the UI is made bigger so you can still see the stuff (yet blots out most of the actual gameworld) or the UI stays the same and you can't see anything. No real RIGHT way to go there, in my eyes. Not to mention as you said before, with gaming laptops, they still mostly need to stay plugged in due to battery life, so that's not real 'Mobile' in my book. Maybe when nuclear batteries or something keep things charged for a week, i'll go for it . The Deep Web is sca-ry. |
