Originally posted by tordurbar You should seriously consider playing a game you talk about before posting facts. There are no instances in the world, no phasing. The result of the dynamic event you just done are visible by everybody else. It's not phasing like WoW. If you freed that outpost from it's centaur invaders, everybody will be able to use the outpost's facilities, and not just the player who completed the "phase", since there's no phase. |

Originally posted by Lord.Bachus Some randoms compared SW:TOR to WoW even while it's a different genre, etc. Personally I think GW2 will be crap. Pvp get soon old, almost everything instances, but lets see in one year and I might get it. Hope it won't be overruned with another overhyped mmo like in this case ;)

Originally posted by lickm3 More lies... seriously, can't you guys say you don't like the game without posting lies about it? Over 95% of the game is not instanced. What is instanced is personal story parts, PvE dungeons and structured PvP. Everything else is a huge world everybody shares. |

Setting does not equal another genre. SWTOR is a lot like WoW in it's core design... Almost identical without the cutscenes. I'm not sure where you got that GW2 is all instanced, maybe you are confusing it with GW1? I'm also not sure what the last sentence was supposed to be. Have fun none the less in the game you like. Dear developers, In my humble and inexperienced opinion if I can get through all the content you spent the last 5+ years working on within 6 months you have not done your work justice. Please give me, and everyone else, some tools to create our own content from what you have made so I can stay in your world and appreciate it longer than three weeks before I say "meh". It's a shame and I'd rather not do that to something you put so much of yourself in to. |

Expect it for the next three weeks as there is nothing else to do :) You can only watch so many videos and play with so many profession builders. Rift is the bastard child of WoW and WAR......GW2 is nothing like it.

The only feature of GW2 I would consider to be an improvement from Rift are the DEs and not just a slight improvement but a big one. Other than that they are very different games aside from the fact that they are both themeparks.

Get over it already, War and GW2 events are in the same lines like the other peep you quote said and the holy trinity is there... Only that this time there is no healer class, only healing templates that other classes have but you need a healer anyways... Maybe the issue is that you believe to be something big when you are just another red shirt player hyping a game... Nothing new, nothing amazing... by November you are going to be hyping other game and complaining about GW2... [mod edit] By the way, i am not trolling or anything, I am simply giving you some of your own medicine... |

Originally posted by Pelagato So you were not joking. Then you are just plain wrong. The trinity is definitely not there (just try to stand there and tank something nasty, even with a plate wearer, just for a laugh) and there are no dedicated healers. Even classes with healing "templates" cannot keep you alive if you don't dodge attacks, the heals are just too weak, they are support tools just like buffs, nothing more, not to mention they can't be spammed like dedicated healing classes in trinity based games can. You don't even have a threat table in this game. |

Originally posted by Pelagato The Korrigan is usually well informed and polite, I don't see how you're giving him "some of his own medicine". What you're doing is reacting badly to being wrong and having it pointed out. Even more than that, you just hate that GW2 is getting a lot of good press and are retaliating because of it. Are you that personally invested in how well the game does or how many people like it? All the complaints about the game have dwindled only to be replaced by mad cackling and "You'll all see in a few months! Then you'll be sorry! Neener neener!" You're acting immature at best, and that goes for anyone who uses that same BS logic. As for you being wrong, there is no trinity of tanks healers and dps in GW2, I don't know what you expected to happen by posting something so flagrantly incorrect. Let me repeat that. You're wrong. Stop baiting people with misinformation. no GW2 won't kill WoW, but it's time to move on and quit worrying about those people still playing it. - eyelolled |
