i'm writing this post just to tell u guys, if u plan to buy gold, just hold it, its not worth it.
it's embarrassing, i ma casual pvp player, farming gold is the last thing i d ever do. i've bought gold for several times, but last Sunday, i ordered 30k from a site, planning to buy a vial of the sands from ah. i thought bliz wouldn't dig small amount transactions, it turns out i m wrong.
Bliz really took my by surprise, this Monday i got an ingame mail from customer service, after i read the email, thx god, it's just warning, they didnt take away the gold as i spent on buying vial of sands, but i m sure they ll suspend or ban me if i do it again, so i ll quit buying gold.
below is Blizzard's email notification.
----- Forwarded Message ----- Greetings, Account Name: *********(my account, lol) In light of some recent activity on your World of Warcraft account, we’d like make sure you’re aware of the negative impact that buying gold from third-party companies has on the World of Warcraft community -- as well as the potential consequences for players who are found to be using such services. Every day, we encounter players who have been victims of in-game scams or whose Battle.net accounts have been stolen, and who log in one day to find their characters’ inventories have been stripped of gold and other valuable items. The overwhelming majority of these scams and thefts are conducted by unethical third-party companies that sell stolen gold to other players for real money. Accounts of players who choose to buy gold and support these exploitive companies may be subject to a variety of account penalties, including the removal of purchased gold so it can be returned to the rightful character. Third-party gold-selling companies frequently prey upon dedicated players -- often including their own customers -- without regard to the disruption their actions cause to the game and other World of Warcraft players. Ultimately, without players’ support, these companies have no way to continue their unethical actions, and that’s why we encourage the community to refrain from using their services. Additional information on the negative impact of purchasing gold, as well as some important information on how you can protect your account from theft, can be found on our website at: http://us.battle.net/wow/services/anti-gold/ Thank you for helping us keep World of Warcraft a fun and safe environment for all of our players. Regards, Blizzard Entertainment http://www.blizzard.com/support

I hope they change their minds and ban you for good and that will teach you not to dance with the devil in the future. You deserve to be banned IMO and it's folks like you who are making it easy for gold famers to make a fortune. I hope you stay with wow and don't buy any other games soon. Bandit |

BTW, astonished to see 30K is a "small" amount of gold. Geez, when I played getting 100 gold was no small feat and even when I returned for Cata and amassed a good amount of gold I ended up making about 1500 or so in my run from level 1-85.

People who buy gold shouldn't even be playing MMOs. If your excuse is "I don't have time to earn gold" then you don't have time to play the game.
The same goes for paying for a leveling service. It's like paying someone to have sex with your wife just to get that part over with and she can move on to end-game (Cooking and cleaning). |

Originally posted by Psychow LMAO!! As to buying in-game gold through third-party sellers, I agree, it should not be done. As someone who has done a lot of it (and I mean a lot!) I can say from personal experience that it does in fact ruin the gameplay and it also effects other's experience with the game; since you are inflating the value of items by spending 30k on single armor pieces. My excuse was that I was lazy and didn't care to work for the gold. After I stopped I reazlied how much more fun the game was. If you are reading this and you are still buying gold, regardless of the game you're playing, you should stop! You're not only ruining the game for yourself but for a lot of other people! |

i think that anyone who buys off these parasites should be banned..they are basically funding these thiefs, hackers, scum, whatever you want to call them.whats worse is that the majority of times they are paying real money to get their own money which has been stolen back.how stupid is that.

The funny thing is earning gold in WoW is one of the easiest things to do. How much of a baddie must you be to not be capable of earning it yourself?
Secondly...what is it you are buying? lol Are you completely incapable of earning your own gear ? Pathetic... |
