Unfortunately poor grammar isn't "too childish" for you.
I was a little old when Pokemon Red/Blue was released, but I played it and loved it. I have purchased one of every generation since then. I typically beat the elite four and maybe mess around a bit after that, but that is it. I agree with some other people who have said that they have kind of slacked innovation-wise. The newest generation of pokemon is generally lacking when compared to the first generation (each one always has a handful of really cool designs, but the handful is getting smaller). They need to take the next big "jump". I can't wait / seriously hope they make the jump to fully 3D, with real time battles (or at least a mix of real time/turn based like some of the final fantasy games). That would be amazing. Heck the game is a PERFECT set-up for a very unique MMO (The combat system would be very unique compared to what is out there already).
Oh and to the people who discount its role in gaming history...there is really no way to argue otherwise. It is one of the largest gaming franchises of all time. Its role in the development and popularity of handheld gaming is impossible to overlook.
