I noticed that the crafting station screen now gives you direct access to your bank and material collection. Absolutely great convenience. No more running back and forth from the bank for the one item you forgot to take with you. Anyone else notice anything different? Play for fun. Play to win. Play for perfection. Play with friends. Play in another world. Why do you play? |

Vistas. The exact thoughts that went through my head as I saw the vista on the rock on the sea at Lion's Arch: "Are you mad? Am I supposed to jump there...from there?"
Great fun though. |

Originally posted by Kanubis Yep - there was the one last mushroom on the third part of the jumping puzzle in sylvari starting zone that I just couldn't get up to. But a lot of others didn't either, it was pretty comical laying dead after falling down from the heights, and then seeing three or four others fall flat next to me and suffer the same fate. =P |

Vistas and bank/collection access in trading were easily the two highlights of the game for me, so I'd say, great additions :P |

The absolute best vista in the game was the one in the bottom of Rata Sum. The one where it's basically 'Look, it's not THAT hard to do the few jumps there, but if you fail? Yeah. You're falling a few thousand feet. JUMP. GO AHEAD. DO IT' I saw somebody die on that Vista. xD They also added in armor previews, which is nice. A couple changes to skills in various classes. I liked the 'infiltrate an area' type hearts. I dont' remember seeing those before. :)

Originally posted by Meowhead I have to admit, my heart was pounding quite a bit there, I nearly fell from one of the platforms. =P On another note, a guildie did test if there were invisible walls on the massive "windows" at the edge of Rata Sum - there weren't.
Also discovered (oh so many times) that falling damage no longer breaks your armor - fairly sure it did in last BWE? |

Originally posted by Nefera You know, I should check and see if that counts as an actual death! That might explain why even at level 20 or so, I only had what 4... 5 deaths? I could have sworn I died more than that just from exploring vistas. It is true it doesn't break armor! If it's not a death (And doesn't block your progression in the 'xp without dying' achievement), then that's a really smart move on Arenanet's part, because it's stupid to have falling because of lag or a wrongly rotated camera count as a legitimate death. :) |

Originally posted by Meowhead Omg... if you liked that.... did you do any of the jumping puzzles!? Holy crap, the asuran lab puzzles were easily the best jumping puzzles I've done thus far. In the sylvari area there's one where the platforms dissappear after a certain amount of time, so you have to be pretty quick with you jumping. In the asura starting area there's a pretty elaborate one floating high up in the sky, lol. Really quick amazing stuff. As for vistas, I think I liked some of the outpost ones more. It was interesting trying to navigate a bunch of ruined buildings to find the way up, and I liked their camera moves a bit more. |

Originally posted by aesperus I did all the vistas in four zones.... I only did one jumping puzzle, sadly. :c I'm planning on exploring more intensely when the game actually comes out. ... I thikn the reason I like that vista so much is because it's in a place where normally you wouldn't die (A city), and the jumps aren't that hard even, but the punishment is DEATH. ... and I watched somebody die. I couldn't stop laughing. xD Asura need to invent handrails. |

Originally posted by Meowhead Hahah I thought the same thing when I was in Rata Sum. I think that's one of the main reasons I like the Asura, though. They have all this intelect, and yet they consistantly overlook the most basic of ideas. Especially ones that have to do with safety, lol. And you're right about the jumping puzzles & death. I don't think I've seen a single one yet that didn't have a mob or two at least somewhere along the path. That said, I used to think the jumping puzzles were rather easy... these ones aren't, lol. I even cheated as an engineer, using rocket jump (allows you to jump precisely to a spot you choose), and it was still difficult. The easier one has you jumping across holographic platforms before they dissappear from under your feet, while dodging mortar fire from the lab's security, lol. The other one... has different areas for different attunements, and they do all sorts of stuff from having you dodging blasts of air (that throw you off the cliff), to avoiding freezing clouds, etc. The one in WvW is also fun, especially when you have multiple servers all trying to complete it at the same time, lol. I went there w/ a friend and we had a blast between trying to finish the puzzle, trying to prevent other servers from finishing it, and random PvP skirmishes. Fearing enemies off the ledges still doesn't get old. I don't think it ever will. - On a side note, that vista on the bottom of rata sum, I don't know why, but it took me a while to find the way to it. I kept staring into the massive hole in the bottom of that city thinking 'map shows it's somewhere around here, but it couldn't be down that way, could it?' |

Left/Right camera movement to reposition the player on the screen seemed new to me. Now if they would only add Up/Down camera movement so my character would not appear in the middle of the screen all the time... |

There's the new preview gear feature, which certainly was a must feature, due how important the looks of your gear is in GW2. Gotta love how it let's you do this. |
