if they were to open those zones during a BWE, would you play them? I wouldn't, I'm gonna make me a Sylvari thief and don't want any of it spoiled. |

Funny, I was talking to a friend about this.
I've been playing in the Beta, and at the same time, not wanting to ruin the game before release. I will definately NOT be playing the Asura or the Sylvarri if they release it in one of the upcoming Beta Weekends. I dont want to play all of it before release. |

Originally posted by dontadow Mostly this. But I don't want to be stuck only playing sylvari and asura areas for fresshness on release either. I may just stick to one set of areas for each BWE.
My concern now is getting the various classes to at least about 15-20. I have found basically have to play them quite a bit to have any idea about them. |

No, because neither the asura nor the sylvari celebrate Meatoberfest.
joking aside, I might, or I might not. I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote. |

If I can play an Asura and/or Sylvari in beta I will play the hell out of that opening area just so when the 3 days head start begins I will be in the lest crowded area then (aka the Char). Hell, I have just been trying out everything. In fact, I havent even gotten a character up to 15 yet! |

I'm thinking I might play both if they are included in future events, but I would probably skip the personal story and do most of my adventuring in zones we've already had access to. I would check out the capitol cities to get familiar with the lay out and I'd also want to become comfortable with the character aesthetics and nail down the look I want for launch, but I'd save most of the new content for launch. I've already been doing this. All my characters have done most of their adventuring in the human lands and the human Personal Stories are the only ones I've delved into. I've done a little adventuring in the Charr and Norn lands, mostly playing with a friend, but I'm saving most of that content for later. I love how easy it is to journey to other racial starting zones in the game and the freedom that allows in charting your own course. Want to know more about GW2 and why there is so much buzz? If there is any time to play them, i will. As it is now, i don't have enough time to play Human, Norn, and Charr as much as i would like to. lol. |

I would try the Silvary if they were available and i had time. I always end betas thinking i forgot to try something lol |

I'd make a Sylvari just to see if they Recaptured the whole "Falls/Denravi" look from GW1 properly. If they don't then I don't want to wait until it's released before I put a bunch of time into that alt only to find out they literally made the whole area "WASTES" |

I've already played two different human characters through level 15 and would have no reservations about playing a third through the same areas. The DEs I ran into varied quite a bit on each character, and the personal stories were completely different. Aside from much of the level 1-5 events and the heart quests, you can easily play through the same zones multiple times and have very different experiences. I wouldn't be concerned about getting burned out on a particular area. I can't wait to play the Sylvari and wouldn't hesitate to do so should a beta opportunity present itself. |

i will not play them
but i do not think we will see the Sylvari in any of the BEW not sure about the Asura. the charr, norn, asura, and human where all seen in GW1 now you could only play as a human but the rest where there. now the Sylvari are new so i think ANet is going to keep the closed up until it goes live

I have always been a little curious at this. If you play it now, assuming its not substatially different at launch, how is this spoiling. Are you not experienceing the same thing? |

Originally posted by Purgatus Exactly. Sometime has to be your first. Whether that's in beta or live, the experience should be the same. The only valid concern should be that you might get bored if you had to repeat the same content again come live, which I addressed above. |

My main will most probably be a Sylvari, but as far as beta is concerned, I'm not preordering without a launch date. |

Originally I wanted to be Sylvari, but after playing a Human in the last 2 tests I might go that. I really hope they let us test them, if anything just for people to play them and decide if they want to pick that as their starting race or not. |

No. I'm just gonna focus on my Humans & Norn these betas and PvP with them. Not even going to bother PvE levelling, let alone those two zones. Though maybe I'll at least check out their capital. |
