Once again Im looking for an answer to this question what game in the last 5 years fixed the lag iin beta to release? Swtor didnt, War didnt, aoc didnt, Vanguard didnt, Aion Didnt I could go on and on but thats the truth. Every Time the LAg was brought up people came out of the wood works to say this is beta and it will be fixed, but it never was.
The next excuse is that they trust in the development team. Guess what The development teams of all the games named failed. |

Originally posted by ebonized Actually WoW isn't the top game. Richard Aihoshi has posted some marketing and research statistics in his free play column. More people in the world play Asian MMOs than any western game. WoW is the only Western MMO in the top 10 list, if I remember right and it's around position 4 - 6. Just do a little internet research or look at the stats posted on this site in some of the columns. Updating my journal. |

Hands down the best mmo since vanilla WoW. Not everyone will like it but that is ok. :)

Most complaints coming from low level people. Don't expect to see this game for another 3-4 months though seeing as it's not as polished as many would've thought.

That's your taste, Mr. Mannish. Think about it. |

GW2 is the best mmo since Wow vanilla and DAOC. I played a lot of mmos, this one is the best since years. Tried TERA too, not interesting at all. Boring quests, boring places... not even an Aion 's clone. |

Welcome! I didn't get the chance to play yet, but our guilds teamspeak has about 40 ppl on it and almost all of them are thrilled about the game. (lots of them are DaoC vets) I had the chance to play it 2 years ago and it was fun back then, I hope the didn't ruin it since then! :) |

This isn't a "reviewette" yet b/c I've only played 1 day (but it was a 14 hour day so it should counts as something). I'm NOT convinced yet this is actually better than GW1
Everyone else in my guild is giving me so much shit when I tell them that, but I think it's just b/c they refused to go into GW1 with an open mind (or never played it at all) yet they're going into this with higher than normal expectations and it's delivering on them somehow.
I don't get it. But more power to them. Most of the standards and conventions of GW1 are totally apparent to me. They're very well diguised to everyone else but I can see them clear as day and there's a few areas where I keep saying to myself: "GW1 did this BETTER". ...and most of those those areas where I say that, are where they split from GW1 niches and incorporated more mainstrem MMO features (like EQ, DCOU, LOTR, etc...). |

Originally posted by andre369 So far? In Gw1 we had: -Nuanced skill bar customization. & FREEDOM to pick skills that synergized organically. -Ability to swap around Skill ORDER on skill bar (even when locked into set-bars) -Pets had inherent Damage Reduction, making them viable in HardMode / SuperBoss Fights. -Pets rezzed instantly (with less health, but that still beats this Ghost-Form crap). -Weapon Swapping immediatley after Character Creation. -No guess-work involved in item drops. (particle effect around lootable corpses too subtle in GW2) -Better balance on Drop rates of high-demand basic materials (excludes Granite & Fibers) -Self heals in GW1 recharged MUCH MUCH FASTER yet it was still very balanced... -CHOOSABLE DISTRICTS we could go meet our friends in anytime they couldn't get into our persistant District (b/c of overflow/crowding).
...I could go on but I don't think most people are even reading these forums right now |

Originally posted by iller Points 1 and 2 I can see as being a big thing. I liked picking my own build sets. Now, we have to choose a couple weapon loadouts, 4 secondary skills, and an elite. There's still some room to choose, but it is less.
Points 3 and 4. Amen. Pet viability is a serious concern, esp for mesmers. Clones might as well not exist if you aren't lucky.
Point 5: I can see holding weapon swapping until you at least fill out 1-2 loadouts worth of weapons. Level 5 seems more fair.
Point 6: Not getting the issue here, but that's me. I run through fields of corpses hitting f a few times. and letting autoloot grab it all. Can sort later.
Point 7: haven't crafted, can't comment.
Point 8: I think the point is to avoid damage, not heal it. Although they need a little better tell system to do that.
Point 9: This is the only thing currently capable of being a game-breaker. And as I understand it, is something that's just not implemented but should be working by release. It had best, because it's the only thing that would make me stop playing this game right now. |

Guild Wars 2 is definitely worth the box price. Anyone who plays mmo MUST try out GW2 seriously. Create a character go to the Mist PVP lobby where you become lvl80 with full skills unlocked and get blown away by the huge variety of cool and interesting skills and endless combination for the perfect build. This game is amazing. |
