This will be interesting 3 days of MMORPG.COMs history. I can imagine all the hatred and 10.000 hate threads/day from the guys with cosmical expectations.
Main MMO at the moment: Guild Wars 2 |

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results. |

Yes I am awaiting all the hate threads myself when folks realize that they are not getting what they thought they were. It should really prove interesting. I have bags of popcorn just ready for all the fallout. |

Originally posted by Loke666 I am a skeptic by nature. I was pointing out that this weekend may or may not go as planned for ANET, and all the BWE'ers. This weekend "could" end in much gnashing of teeth, broken mice/keyboards, smashed monitors, countless pages of hate speech....or "could" end with the second coming...who knows...
But again I hope it goews well... |

If the GW2 BWE does not accomplish world peace, erace the national debt, and cure cancer, then the ensuing QQ threads here come monday should be epic

As someone answered on a blog I read, to the title "My GW2 Expectations"... "I expect lag". I also remember too well how massive technical problems when the servers got assaulted almost ruined past excellent games like Anarchy Online. I definitely hope it won't happen for GW2, but hey, even the mighty WoW had some lag and server issues at launch... |

MMO History... My bet goes that in 10 years time GW2 will be nothing more than a footnote in the history of MMOs, project Titan will be ruling the MMO world, and a similar hype around GW3 will be rushing around. History loves repetition.Repetition loves history. |

Aside from the game itself, the thing I'm very much looking forward to is the opening of the beta forums on the GW2 site so I don't have to wade through the drivel here looking for info. Haters can have a field day here for all I care. On a related note, I think the amount of hate being spewed on this forum is a good sign because if GW2 was as bad as they say it's going to be, they wouldn't even bother posting here in the first place. MMO games would be pretty cool if it weren't for the people. |

filmoret: One thing I have never figured out is why the game devs hardly ever fix simple problems that arise. It is like they don't care about the pvp community. Nitth: What makes you so sure its a simple fix? filmoret: Because most of them are. Sometimes its just changing a number in a code string other times its creating a few variables. However none of them should take over a few hours of coding. |

I can t wait to play this game, but I actually said no to doing any beta weekends. I want it to be completely new to me, when the game releases. It s killing me not hitting that BUY button, but I know I ll enjoy the game, so I ll leave it to be a new experience for me when it comes out.

Originally posted by kDeviL I'm not a "hater" or lover of this game. I'm interested for sure, but I must say it will be really good to get some folks with hands on experience rather then watching videos online. I haven't been paying much attention lately, is there still an NDA for players?
Either way, from what I've seen I'm more then likely going to buy the game. Not having a monthly fee is a heavy factor. |

Stay calm, it's just a game, and it's not even its launch day. You could say the exact same thing prior to the release, but prior to the beta is way too excited. It is a good game alright, but the first hours of playing will be as exciting as playing any new game for the first time.
