Been trying to download the client for days but I am still only at 1.7GB. It moves at about 5-15K and then stops.. when I first load the client I get around 1.7mb then it slowly goes down and down.

There is nothing wrong with my net and i have tried wit hand with out the firewalls and anti virus all turned off

Dose anyone know a mirror site that has the beta files? That I could download from.. it is incredibly frustrating and a terrible sign to the future of this game when a customer can not even download the client. I sent a mail t o the support but nvr got a response.

Any mirrors?

I have seen quite a few torrents up of it, if you want to risk whatever is associated with torrenting. I saw one on bitgamer but that's an invite only site :/

I use mirrors all the time.. I see nthign wrong with the,m. I nvr patched wow with the patcher only with the files directly form wowhead.  MUCH faster.

And it is not about being patiant. The download as it satnds now will take 2 months. to compleat.. and that is if i sit there restarting teh client every 10 mins....

think where i'm from got the worst internet connection in the world, but i'm actually have no trouble dl ing the client via the official link.

finished downloading about 13 GB of the client size in 1 and a half day with 2 different ISP (office and home) download rate at 100-150KB/s.

the point is i think its your net connection, give it a try w/ other ISP, test dl at friend's home etc. maybe your ISP use proxy?

right, i know oz got nice connection, so i think you should try to check whether your ISP block the dl site for some reason, happens to me a few times as well, all you have to do is make a few tech support calls.

and like i said if its not so much trouble you can check dl w/ other ISP to see if yours really somehow block your connection.

i assume you have net connection at workplace or school? or just go to nearest net cafe and test dl for few mins?

i don't think anet would for any reason block the whole continent of australia.

Whoa, starts off nice... but yep thats how your supposed to do it.

When it starts dropping off does your connection to the rest of the net is still look good, web pages load, etc..(before closing the patcher)? If so your losing connection to just the server for some reason... normally a firewall would block it from the start but did you check to make sure you have that disabled? I know mine was blocking and had to temporarily disable it.... just a thought.

You have to set inbound and outbound rules in your firewall and anti virus program to allow GW2 client to download the game fully and patch it. Disabling the firewall or your anti virus won't always help, especially if you unintantionaly didn't accept GW2 into you firewalls trusting programs when it asked you to, you probably hit cancel or don't. Try removing the game from your PC and download the GW2.exe fromt he official site again and try it again.

I had no problems downloading the game at 2.2MB and got done 15 minutes or so. Hope you get it working soon.

If you have AVG/Avast running, disable it, if it persists try to uninstall it. Also try to run GW2.exe as an administrator.

Some people who were having download issues, reported that those things help.

i do not use AVG at all it has nvr been installed. I have only windows firewall and have added manuall yteh GW2.exe and set it to allow all for incomming and out going.. but i have it turned off at the moment anyway... though I have tried on... I have downlaoded the app multi times form the site and still no luck
