Originally posted by Kehdar There isnt proof, but there is evidence, which ive already listed. And i never said necessarily 'don't want,' but 'aren't looking for.' There is a difference there, and if you don't understand it then don't even bother replying further.
And I do think personally that age is a reason for this, though there could be a multitude of reasons why. |

Originally posted by teakbois No there are no evidence nor proof. From ESRB statistics the average age of players is 34 years old, now if we looks at some charts, we notice at which king of game make the top of the sales chart every months we will find games like Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, GTA or FPS like Deus Ex, Call of Duty, Battlefield, FPS aren't action games still they are more close to action games than to a tab targetting game.

I played it and was not impressed. I will just give it a pass. Rift and SWTOR were both equally boring, got to around lvl 30 in rift, and lvl 25+ as a bh in SWTOR and barely got into any guild, or group activities, MMO's arent the way they used to be. back in 2004-2008 or so I played eq2 and various other MMO's and had little issues getting into groups, epic quests, eventually raiding, until they went belly up with population drops. hell even wow was decently fun with grouping until recently and just gave it a rest, after WTOLK. now lately, not the same appeal, no real grouping encouraged or "pushed" to promote interaction with other players, no sense of exploration, or various of role playing aspects that are specific to the MMO genre. everything is catered, and handed to you in a linear pattern. and now people are keen and bent on pushing past a bulk of the content, and the journey is a lot less impressive and immersive and thus uninteresting. kind of burnt out on all the crappy MMO's of lately. 3.4ghz Phenom II X4 965, 8GB PC12800 DDR3 GSKILL, EVGA 560GTX 2GB OC, 640GB HD SATA II, BFG 1000WATT PSU. MSI NF980-G65 TRI-SLI MOBO. |

Tera will settle with a sub base of 100-200k, it will not fail, but it won't be a success either. It will be a niche game. |

Originally posted by Vepgenus A WoW killer you mean. Even with that amount of sub its well more th an success for the company. If SWTOR can make money in a year with only 500k sub and it costing 200m to make i think Tera well do fine money wise with 200k sub when it cost around 30-50m to make. |

Lol to the stats guy for ages above. Hmm 21-30 year old males high population. Sounds about right going out on a limb (not really this one is made out of concrete and two miles wide) and say that is the target audience for 95% of the adult gamin market.
To the OP, people once upon a time PVP'd because it was fun, had status, and showed strentgh (in a gaming world). Rewards and gear mean nothing, as a matter of fact please do not put in endless gear or reward treadmills, just make it fun. This is the first MMO I have had fun PVP'ing in a while. Little bit of skill, little bit of luck. I am sold. |

Game looks great, sounds are good but gameplay sucks with dumb quests. P2P it should be alot more then it is now a simple hack and slash mmo mediocre gameplay. Free 2 play could be succefull but P2P this game you gotte be kidding me:P

P2P/F2P has to do with quality and generic side quests or not TERA has quality. Bargain bin shoppers move on please, we like good communities.
Just not worth my time anymore. |
