Sure, a lot has changed in the game but honestly most of the complaints I have seen are about trivial things like skill point allocation and skill trees, really?  REALLY?  Did you really expect them to keep such a primitive system in this day in age.  Just copy/paste Diablo 2 in a new skin?  I for one love the way that I'm not going to have to rebuild each character for every playstyle I want to try.  People have less and less time to play games these days and if you really have time to max out dozens of different characters to play 20 different builds then you possibly need either a job or a life.  The Diablo 3 style of skills works out really well for a lot of us old time battle.netters who have followed the franchaise since the start and have families and full time jobs now. 

And don't get me started on the graphics, it's Blizzard, they have always brought you a different style to be able to play their games on even the lowest end PC's.  It's smart, in a business sense, and only the really anal are going to give 2 shits about having to have the best graphics for every game they play. 

 

You all do realize though, THIS IS THE SAME EXACT THING THAT HAPPENED WHEN DIABLO 2 RELEASED.  A lot of of the older generation gamers bitched about Diablo 2 not being what Diablo was.  And look at it today, still alive, still thriving.  Not going anywhere.  If you love Diablo 2 so much, then go play it, it's not like they are going to discontinue it's service since 3 is on the way. 

So cry all you want, but Blizzard has made PC gaming what it is today.  Like it or not.  Even though they took WoW down the shitter after the first xpac, still droves of people still play it, and bought every xpac, and devote infinate hours of their lives to their games.  Expect the same result from Diablo 3, because it's inevitable.

Im sure that he yellow writen hapened , and im sure it would have been even worse if the change from D1 to D2 hapened in this time, why? because in D1 you could learn all the spells with all the clases, for example you playing a warrior and find a magic book and you can learn it, and in D2 each class had their own skills so was it dumbing down the complexity taking off  the chance to build complex characters? no, it was giving you a diferent system to use, just like D3 is doing.

I played maybe 2 hours and I'm not buying it. To me it's Diablo 2 with better graphics and WoW spells.

Diablo is the greatest point and click game of all time for me. It doesnt get more fun pointing and clicking than in this series. lol

Anyways biggest disappointment to me is the lack of blood. I think the game is great but i do have several complaints, the biggest one being where the f*** is the blood? oh wait there is a lot of blue blood. As much as i love the game so far this did make me want to ask blizzard "how dare you call this Diablo?"

Red Blood is everywhere in D3, it even gets on your character if you look close enough, play a barb and use cleave with rupture rune, makes mobs explode when they die dealing dmg to those around them, blood everywhere my friend.  Skeletons ofc don't provide blood cus they dont got any, the big fat things have blue blood cus they have big blue worms in them but zombies and such have blood.  There atre not many felshy things in the content we played so maybe it was just not obvious to you.

 With the barbarian and monk i found miself painting the floor red wen smashing zombies, also the carrion bat nests are a creepy bloody creature that esplodes in a disgusting way wen killed.
