When I think of what GW2 may be, I get a little reminescent of my old alliance from Dark Age of Camelot. Our alliance on a relic raid, the song in the video would be my GW2 theme song. Long live the All Fathers Alliance!
What happens when you log off your characters????..... |

Well I was on Youtube, and I saw a video titled "The Top 5 Most Anticipated MMOs for 2012" or some such nonsense. And one song was done by "Two Steps From Hell". So then I looked up "Two Steps From Hell" and they're a company in LA that does epic music usually for movie previews. Then I checked the wiki and was blown away. Taken from the wiki here is what they've done. In particular, the group's music has been used in trailers for such films as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Star Trek, The Dark Knight, The Fighter, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, No Country For Old Men, 2012, Captain America: The First Avenger, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, Super 8, Inception, Drive Angry, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, Hugo, John Carter, The Town, Priest and Prince of Persia, as well as video games such as Mass Effect 2, Mass Effect 3, Killzone 3, and Star Wars: The Old Republic and television shows such as Doctor Who, Game of Thrones, Sherlock and Merlin.
Thats right. They did music from Mass Effect 2 and 3 and even Swtor. So how's about that.
Anyways they put out a few public albums of their music too but I guess they specialize in that epic type of music. One thing that interested me was I was looking for something unconventional to listen too in the background while playing a fantasy mmorpg. Think I found it. Id plan on using it for GW2 but.....I think that game has music more than decent enough already built into the game. *shrugs*

Originally posted by Corehaven Awesome, thanks. yeah GW2 music can stand on its own I think. As long as I hear it enough unlike games such as Rift, WAR and SWTOR who have good soundtracks but for some reason, you don't hear it enough or at the right times. So for those games, I usually turn off the music and play my own movie soundtracks. It works well enough. |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wL-cQR5oYzw For Skyrim, but the imagery and music makes me think of GW2. -Atziluth- - Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity. |
