Just to clarify since some people seem to misunderstand: Q1 of FY(2013) begins in October of 2012. So this is a prediction less than six months away, not simply next year. |

Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the priviledge to do so as well. |

FYI, I don't really care but I find it just as irrelevant as this thread.

This game was just boring for me. most of the time it felt like i was playing a console RPG with some random instant messaging in the back ground. The pvp was great however, i hope future games use the same model. At any level, i had an instant Q for battlegrounds. I think i read somwhere that GW2 is using the same level adjustment concept for PVP which has me excited.. i guess we'll see. I'll be playing Free to Play games until The secret world and GW2 come out. Far too bored with WOW to go back for any reason other than MOP. I'm expecting to be bored with MOP in a couple of months... |

The beta testers told them so many times about the problem with TOR... they chose not to listen to us. Reap what they sow. The game will fall. Even if they quickly pump out some end-game, it's going to be so unpolished and uncreative because now they are just striving to keep their players. |

If ToR is not an MMO than no themepark online game is, includinfg WoW. It may be boring but it is an MMO. |

I was in beta for a long time, I was not a weekend tester, and this is not true at all. In AoC that was true, in warhammer that was true but in SWTOR only a few people said anything negative and they said it over and over. The vast majority of testers praised it and just talked about bugs that needed fixing, but still generally praised the game. So maybe the testers were to blame as well. I just miss the orange pixel . |

I agree with some of that but open world PvP is almost dead in WoW soo.. I agree whole heartedly with the NPCs in WoW. in TOR most of them unless they are giving you a quest don't even talk at all. The polish took wow years. PvE is not better scripted, this one area that ToR got right. ToR has an open world just no incentive to explore it. I go off the beaten path all the time, especially the level 30 and up planets, tons of open space. |

More nonsense. I was also in beta for a long time and judging by general chat, people were ignoring all the flaws and saying stuff like "it'll get fixed, it's only beta". Every time i brought up an issue in chat i was immediately told to piss off by blind fans that didn't want to accept it's flaws. The players that were in beta longer than the weekend testers were friends and family that were not doing their jobs. Sure they were looking for bugs but not many stood up and said you know what, this system in place is not working as an MMO feature. The ones that did, like myself, were shot down and told to go play WoW. Hope these same people enjoy what they helped create. |

ROFL no lobbies, its not Guild Wars. The instanced caves etc are for class quests and flashpoints etc. There are a lot but atleast on the higher level planets there is still tons of open world.
Have you played since the world event started? Tat is crazy on my server becuase of it. Loads of ganking and open world PvP, guilds running around doing the event together, masses of people socializing as they wait to get infected. It's made the game come alive. If they keep doing these world events it's gonna help the game a lot. |

So you said that what I said was nonsense then went on to agree with me??? In other words what I said meant that the testers were not generally pointing out major flaws just little bugs. I disagreed though that they ignored the testers, becuase most of the testers were praising the devs work. The other games I pointed out, the majority of testers were telling the devs what was fundamentally wrong with the games and the devs made almsot 0 changes before launch, so they actually did ignore the testers. |

Well ... i'm not among them. As altholic have 8 alts, 2 lv. 50 and bunch of close to ... and is never boring, not even leveling 8th alt. Never, exception are wow and rift, had such blast with playing any game. And particulary I love being solo friendly. Sorry.... but when i want to socialize i have many real life friends. :-) |

As a person who is enjoying the game and making no plans to end his subscription in the foreseeable future, I can hardly see this analyst's speculation as bad news. 1.25 million heading into 2013? That's a plenty healthy MMO population--many people to play with, and much profit for the developer to continue creating content. Of course I'm merely talking from my own perspective as a player; I'm sure EA and BW want their sub numbers much higher, so that they move into an obscene level of profit category rather than simply a respectable level. But I'll say it again, 1.25 million is great, and moreover, if true, this to me is breaking the trend of all the previous so called failures in the MMO graveyard of years past.
To all those ever so enthusiastic naysayers, I certainly acknowledge that we still need to wait before declaring any of these speculations to be truth. |

Another fan of the SWTOR confirms that the game is very nice ..single player game with nice cooperative options. Why pay a monthly fee??? |

Originally posted by ddd47 Well I got into a weekend beta. Saw by day two that this game was an RPG co op. I wont say its a horrible game, but there's a whole lot wrong with it, half of which I probably dont even know, but I saw enough.
I will say its good enough to me that if it was about 30 dollars, Id pay for the game, and play it. With no sub fee. Its good enough to garner that from me. So its not a total waste at all. Its worthy of me laying some money down and enjoying it.
But right now the sub fee is whats keeping me away from it, because its just not worthy of one. |

Originally posted by Alders Maybe it's because those testers didn't want yet another old school MMO or maybe they don't see certain mechanics as flaws like you do. It's pretty arrogant to say they didn't do their job, just because they didn't point out the things YOU didn't like about the game. Not every MMO has to be an experiemnt in social enslavement. You want a forced grouping, raid centric, non-scripted, non-voiced game, there's plenty out there to choose from. Move on and realize that not every game needs to meet your criteria nor cater to your wants and needs. |
