This is what I've been hearing a lot of, and why I think it's likely this game will see F2P in the very near future. The dungeon experience seems to interest a lot of people, but you can't stay in a dungeon 24/7 and even if you could, it would become as repetitive as the world outside of it. That's a problem, considering the first dungeon isn't until far into the first 30 levels or so (not including the one that's part of getting off noob island, which is soloable). I was looking forward to this game at one point, and with some changes I could be looking forward to it again. The devs need to look at what makes the dungeon, that one aspect of their game, so much fun for people and think of ways to expand that to the rest of their game. For instance, when you enter a dungeon, you've essentially taken on a quest; kill the minions of the boss, then the boss, and steal his shit. It's a hell of a lot more entertaining than KTX quests, and while I wouldn't want to see grouping required for 100% of the content, it certainly helps to give incentive for people to play together outside of dungeons as well. "Forums aren't for intelligent discussion; they're for blow-hards with unwavering opinions." |

Gaeanprayer have you played the game or did any research? 1 BAM's are everywhere in the open world as well past lvl 20. I know crazy, you mean you don't have to go into dungeons to fight them???? You're a troll period, great job though posting uninformed garbage and trying to come off as someone actually interested in the game. Actually you know what here read this since you will probably make some dipshit response. Read most of them as well please here are yesterdays patch notes. http://tera.enmasse.com/news/patch-notes/patch-172501 Looks liek they listened to nothing. Waittttttt a minute didn't most people think levels 1-20 were to easy? Didn't they say the starting area was trash? But then EME goes and ups the difficulty? They were listening and implemented a change? NO WAY HOW COULD THIS BE?
Grats on the troll post.
P.s read more than just today's patch notes to answer any questions you might have before just maknig a troll response and I may dignify you with a legitimate retort next time. |

The first instance is at level 20. The second is at level 26. The instance you are probably thinking of is the one at level 35 which is the third one.

This game has 1 innovative feature and it's the combat, everything else is just a copy of what has been done before which is very unfortunate because the game is beautiful. Being released just before GW2 won't help either. I just wish we could have GW2 with this combat, that would be perfect. |

The combat is not "innovative". Its been around for a while, but many people shy away from it because it is mainly in what are called "asian grinders" and mostly in F2P games with a cash shop. With that said, TERA does a great job of taking the best of the Korean gaming market and bringing it west. I am going to be trying out this game. GW2 has a little too much hype for my taste. Its like mixing honey in molasus and having someone chug a gallon of it. Once it has gone into beta, or even post launch and the real reviews start coming in, I will give it a go. |

Who cares about innovation anyway? When did it become the new trend to toss that word around so freely to a video game industry. Is God of War really all that different from Zelda with a few gimmicks? Isn't Halo just a Golden EyE with gimmicks?
EVE can be considered innovative, yet I'm sure 9 out of 10 guys craving innovation haven't even made it past the trial.
Waiting around for something to be reinvented is highly unbecoming - Why not just play games for what they are? This game is an action oriented mmo with excellent group play - Enjoy it for what it is or don't play it.
On another note - Mike and Bill, are you guys in the same guild in Tera? |

I agree game shouldn't be judged entirely on how much they innovate, as a game could still be fun and that's what games should be judged for. But for me personally games that differ from the "WoW" way of doing things are more apealing, probably because after years of being subscribed to something you want to see something different. You don't have to be overly revolutionary in what you do but games that aren't different enough are gonna have a hard time competing with the giants that have been here for years. |
