@chibineko - i see you dont know what a business is. Anet may cover their costs by box sales but its still a company that wants to give their investors a long ride. They Are out to make money. Its called return on investment. And investors expect to double and trippel their investment.

Why are people so defensive? If someone approached me and told me they think "X" movie is better than "Y" movie, I wouldn't stand there and tell them why they're wrong. Why do people feel the need to do this with MMO's? Do people really need to justify their tastes in video games to a complete stranger? |

Diablo 3 will be released in the same month of Tera Online's launch. I won't be signing up for Tera Online until I am done with Diablo 3, probably after June.
Even then, I am hestitant on registering for Tera Online because of the p2p payment model. If I play 6 days in a month, $15/month is not worth it. I would definitely get this game if it was b2p. This game seems too good to turn down like the other MMO's. I would probably have to reconsider in July. |

Chib, you nor anyone else knows what GW2 is going to do for the genere, only what people think it will. We'll have to wait and see. TERA offers a lot more than it's combat. I don't expect you to know this since your not interested in TERA but since you have camped in this thread you might come a little more prepared.
The P2P/B2P gets muddied if you offer a lot of convenience items people want to purchase. Arguing the merits of one over the other are silly. Just not worth my time anymore. |
