When it's released and there's still a key only obtainable in the cash shop then you can come back and bring back your illusion argument. By the way, Bag space is also in GW1 and it's never been a problem, same with bank space. Only people that would buy these are those who simply like to keep a LOT of items vaulted, if not, you can always salvage the crafting materials or sell them. NEVER have I been in a position when I constantly needed and wanted more space. Just as a side note, I tried Tera last weekend and I think it's a good game, an improved version of Aion that is better than most because of the ability to dodge attacks and the combat system. However I don't think it will be a hit like the OP said only because of this, it needs something "more". Remember... all I'm offering is the truth. Nothing more. |

While I must say the combat is VERY engaging the rest of the game is just meh for me. I particulary hate the art style although the gfx look good. If you don't mind quest and dungeon grinding the game could be fun. Also, Im a big pvper and I don't particulary care too much for open world pvp but this game has it and it can be fun at times. Unfortunately it has no battlegrounds at release so I can't speak to that. Doubt it will be a sleeper hit unless they bring something else to the table... |

Originally posted by Nadya3 Don't let the negative, indicative and pessimistic views of others get to you. Alot of these people that post their thoughts in the TERA forums with no intent of playing and enjoying the game, really just don't have anything else better to do; except to make you feel miserable and unpleasant about a game they themselves can't enjoy. It's really the same small group of people that come here, with the intent to force on us and describe how "one thing is better than the other," or "This will fail because of this." Just take a look at the post history of some of them, though you shouldn't waste your time. Much less waste your thoughts / time in these petty quarrels and altercations. (Ignore the trolls) So try your best not to feel discouraged, alot of us will really enjoy what TERA offers and will have a blast doing so. Especially when you play with friends and guilds who pretty much have the same interests about TERA, as many of the fans and players (people who will play) do. (Me) I'm looking forward to and ready to make my character tonight, what about you? |

So, asking for honest feedback from people that have been playing in the betas; Is the game slower paced in the beginning, with more content available later down the road? I only played one beta weekend, and it seemed like it fell short of something, but as I read some people's post here, I keep seeing a reoccurring theme: The game gets better after level 20 or so. Your thoughts? |

I have serious doubts this game will be anything like a "sleeper hit", while it brings a new approach to MMO combat I do not think the rest of the game is anywhere strong enough to carry it through, combat alone does not a hit make. It will definitely gain a sizeable niche market initially & from then on in will depend how they develop it further, but it's far too Japanime to gain a serious mainstream foothold in the west. |

Reading through this thread has reinforced what I have believed for some time now.... that we as gamers are longing for a magical and mystical world that we can disappear into thus leaving behind our worries and problems if even for only a few hours a week. We are all after the same thing, we just want a place to relax and unwind. However we all realize that in-order for our wonderful land of make believe to exist and expand its needs a player base and in the MMO world the more players the better.
As evident in this thread we have so called fanboys of game A, B, C, D, ETC fighting over a finite amount of players, trying to convince them that their game is the PLACE to be and that the other games are only going to fail. I can understand this because that magical place you are trying to unwind in doesn’t feel so magical when the game world is empty. However as a community we should be rooting for the MMO industry on whole, we should hope that games like Tera, GW2, TSW succeed so that the MMO industry continues to grow and develop and make lots of money. Then one day (maybe in 2016) instead of sitting in front of a computer playing our favorite MMO we are hard wired into our favorite game via some sort of bio-metric suit or something where our physical actions directly impact what we do in the game (one can dream :) ).
Anyways long story short, I probably will not play Tera but I wish it the best and I hope it opens up future game developers eyes into pushing the envelope for on-line gaming.

What the heck Corpus... I put a 10 min video up for you to show you, and then you give R.I.O.T all the credit........
Regardless I'm glad you atleast watched one of the sources, most of these people are just trolls that get to lvl 20-30 in mmo's and are just cannon fodder for pvp'ers. Then they complain because someone who is max lvl can 1 shot them. And come here to mmorpg to show their distain. The best example of this was from SWTOR and all the idiots saying it's not a bad game. Well then months after release they turtled their way to max lvl and promptly cancelled a week or two later. Just another example of why not to listen to these people. But on the positive there are a few int. beings who post on here, "R.I.O.T is a good example", who research and will tell you straight up if something is true or not. I hope this worked out for you though.
P.s. if you're gonna play come to jagged coast. Lots of fun and action on that server if pvp is your thing. |

Originally posted by BartDaCat My thoughts about TERA are mostly positive, aside from the linear questing and the easy / slow combat at begining (really lower) levels. TERA has a solid foundation, with of course the continuing possibilies of added content / updates. TERA really does pick up at around level 20 or so, with your first enounter to a BAM / use of glyphs and pretty much your first dungeon. Gameplay does pick-up at higher levels, but we have yet to see how the actual combat is actually like at max levels. In due time we will. Many of the complaints that were addressed in the CBTs, are being looked at, tweaked and polished as best as possible. You can pretty much see some of the changes, (on the main-site) EME will have at launch. |

There was a poll on this site that has been there for quite some time, over what determans if a game is a "success" and the winning answer was "If it makes enough money to continue to run", with the second place being "there are far too many factors to determan based solely off subscription numbers" Which I feel is a good indicator of the general feeling most of us have around a game's success. Following that logic I feel that TERA will be a success. |

My posts are not anything special really, In most cases they are the same representation of what others do in these forums. Place positive and negative comments, opinions, feed-back and facts, about a subject / topic that we as gamers may be interested in. The one thing I try to do though (as much as possible), is if I think I have factual information of any sort, I tend to back it up with pics, videos or links to other sources. It really helps those see where I'm coming from and why. Thanks though for the positive com! |

I feel Tera will gain momentum as time passes by word of mouth. I've been trying new MMOs as they come out and honestly, I was expecting Tera to be awful. However, I found it to be extremely fun once I leveled a character past the starting zone. I enjoyed it so much so I cancelled my SWTOR account. I hardly play WoW anymore because the combat seems so stale in comparison. Sometimes I'm shocked I'm playing a MMO when in Tera because the graphics are so beautiful. |
