Originally posted by heartless Funcom has a battle on 2 fronts. They have a history of less than stellar releases. This one, I think I could almost believe they learned their lesson. Not 100% sure of that, but enough to give them the benefit of the doubt. The next battle is they have a reputation of being greedy. And I can't say it's completely without merit. I look at this game, and it does look good. Really good. But, my adivice is still to wait for it. Even if it's 1 or 2 weeks. You just never know what you will get with these guys. Its like one extreme or the other. If the conversation turned "Tit-for-Tat", and I've stopped posting, Consider it your win. |

The game will either go F2P or shutdown completely in no more then a year after its launch. Not trolling, just expressing some realistic views and predictions. |

Originally posted by GeezerGamer everycharacter can learn all the skills that exsist in the game. it's not like you have 8 "professions" to choose from. they give you 3 slots one for each faction. but if you want to learn all 588 abilitys with 6 toons then go for it. |

Originally posted by heartless Totally understandable, I'll almost certainly get it, but just the base game, if the ce is around 3 months in & the game is doing well I'll buy that too, but it has a lot to prove before then. |

Does AoC's Shop have RMT conversion to game currency? Are there any itmes that can somehow be traded?

Originally posted by GoldenArrow Wait, so all of those emails and marketing blurbs about "freedom" from levels was just bullshit? All they did was move leveling to skills. What other spin and frosting did they put on the same stuff repackaged as new? Yep, this isn't going to be a train wreck.

Originally posted by GoldenArrow LOL What a great way to seem knowledgeable without actually saying anything of substance. I actually know what was in the cash shop during the last beta event and there is absolutely nothing there that takes "convenience items" into a new dimension. Obviously it may change before launch but one thing I know from my experience with GW1 is that ANet does not nickel and dime people, even now considering that GW1 is showing its age. Unlike certain other developers...

Originally posted by mrw0lf Interesting isn't it? It is interesting how far those things went. And in P2P game as well. I think huge majority of players playing UO, EQ , AO or heck even Vanilla WoW would not think something like that will ever be possible and better yet that many players will be ok with it hehe
Make you wanna shiver at vision of what kind of bullcr*p will be in mmorpg in 5 years from now on and people will say. Hey " I think most players playing TSW and [put other current mmorpg] never would think something like that will be possible ever".
Investors, publishers & many devs already sitting and are excited at that ke ke ke |
