Originally posted by Souldrainer Man, did you nail that one. Originally posted by Zekiah TQ Defiler, Masteries mod, to name a couple popular ones. They are still out there. Also, TQ comes with a level editor...so if you get really into it...set up your own map and invite your friends (it takes some time to build one though). There is def more to play there and tons to experiment with. If you already own the game, then it might be worth a revisit. One comparison I can make right out of the box (between POE and TQIT) is one simple skill: charge. In POE, the charge is more like a sprint, but in slow motion. When you do hit a mob with charge in POE, the mob flinches a lil. In TQ, you haul a** across the screen, leave a trail of dust, and things go flying on impact. POE just doesn't give me that feeling. Its slow. I'm not sure how else I can describe it. I would like to take the speed of the combat in D3, combined with an old school multi-class system like TQIT, and then add in POE's goldless loot system. Ok, I'll snap out of dreamland now... |

Originally posted by spikers14 Alright, I just picked up Gold and the Underlord mod and I have to say, you might be right about it being better than PoE but that could change depending on how it develops. I will say this though, I'm having more fun in TQ than D3. In fact, some of the features and even the graphics make me feel embarrased for Blizzard. Diablo 3 is just garbage. As someone who's been waiting TEN FRIKKIN' YEARS, it really pisses me off to say it but it's true. All that time and money and that's all they got? Sad, just FRIKKIN' sad. Blizzard man... what happened to you? You are now on my fail list. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. I loved TQ, one of the best "D2 clones" or w/e you wanna call it. Loved playing the summoner and the environment was pretty cool along with the class combos. |

TL2 will be for sure great game but some ppl dont like MODs in game and always think it will ruin game. PoE is nice game as it is free and gives all what you want from such game = Great passive tree and all the farming in the world you want :) (as game in progress and soon act 3 is coming out will be even more unique mobs and hopefully weapons gems ) for ppl who saying Passive tree got lots of fillers or ES overpowered or only way to play is ranged or ES. for me its great game as it is giving yo oportunity to choose :) if you want easy mode go with Energy shield witch/shadow or Bow builds Want some chalenge go with 1h+shield and if you want all the fun 1h+1h or 2h way to go. nothg will give more fun than mob hitting you 50-80% of life in Chaos. And for sure such game MUST be played on Hardcore only. D3 is simply for Blizard lovers not for gamers sadly. |

Originally posted by Zekiah I'm exactly in the same boat as you.
Pre-purchased TL 2 a couple of weeks ago off of Steam. Installing PoE right now.
Took care of remaining business with Blizzard. I had purchased Starcraft II to play while D3 was down for whatever -- that's how much I believed in Blizzard after spending .... probably thousands of dollars on WoW over the years. Put in a ticket for my SCII refund before 30 days is up, because of D3. Opened a ticket to complain about D3. I will never buy another Blizzard product again. They are dead to me.
They already got enough of my money, but I'm going to cut my losses here and be done with it. A lot of other games and companies out there I would rather support. |

Originally posted by 7star Yep. Cut losses and have moved on. I have PoE, TQ, D2, T2 is all ready to go and I'm waiting for Grim Dawn. I'm over it. I was once a proud fan of Blizzard but they've gone from a trusted friend to a backstabbing mugger. Ok. Fine. Cya. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. Originally posted by spikers14 You know, I never really could get into TQ, but after reading your post, I may just go ahead and give it another shot. I remember being put off by the environment, a little too bright for my tastes, do they change much in the later acts? |

Originally posted by Adhesive33 I actually love the graphics. Sure, they're a little dated but at least I don't feel like I'm watching the Cartoon Network. I'm not sure about how the maps progress though. There are some pretty good mods for it now too, I'm playing the Underlord mod and I'm going to install the (ironically lol) Diablo UI later today. You might check out those links, there might be something darker for you. "Censorship is never over for those who have experienced it. I have my gripes about diablo 3, but I've got two 60s now and the fun hasn't stopped. I see tons of hate, but very few actual reasons for disliking the game. It's like the very existance of the AH and lack of putting 3 points into vit each level is tearing people's souls apart. |

Originally posted by Zekiah Actually, I donwloaded the soulvizier mod, which is a continuation of the underworld mod (with continued updates), and it includes the Diablo UI. Not quite sure if I like the increased difficulty, though. There should be a softer curve. |

Originally posted by Adhesive33 Yeah, I've been looking at that one but because there are a few issues that need to be resolved (check the last few forum pages), I'm going to wait. Originally posted by adam_nox Really? .The items. .The droprates. .The quests. (linear on rails) .The RMAH. .Repair costs .Boss figths...(WoWification) I have 6 level 60s. Four doing inferno act4. Two doing inferno act2. Five of them on the EU server and one on the US server. I am really trying to give the game a fair chance. But the problems are serious. I want to play a true ARPG. But it feels like there is to much WoW in this game. And to much is designed and balanced for the RMAH. I cant say I think its to difficult. But I can understand that it is for a lot of causual players. Everyone should have a fair and reasonable chance to progress. Repair costs is a big problem... I can deal with it. But I want everyone to be able to play the game and have fun. D2 was a better game. Trying to find items was more fun. Trying to balance the economy and droprates for the RMAH really hurts. It is really a mistake. People that wants to find the items and gold they need when playing should be able to do that and enjoy the game. They should not have to feel they are forced to use the AH. |
