Developers didnt just want a the money 3rd parties where making off players when adding itme shops, they wanted that money and more. They removed all playstyles and systems that provided services or convinience as a commodity so they could have a monopoly and charge what they wanted. This is the future of MMORPGS. Progression and selling convinience with no controls whatsoever.
