I think mid April beta weekends, late April early access, launch by first week of June.
Or maybe I'm just hoping it will be that soon. |

It could be any time this year but i highly doubt it will be until after summer. Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. |

My best guess is sometime in July, it only seems logical based on when the pre-purchase date is, BETA will probably follow a few weeks after, with a bit of time in between BETA events than a bit of time between the end of BETAs and release. |

I'm betting early June release. If not then, September would be best bet. For some reason, I don't see a midsummer release. |

Initially I was thinking December of this year, but now with the preorder details up starting to think June/July. Would go with August, but that is generally the death month for game releases and I don't think they'll (read: hope they won't) string us out as long as September. |

Originally posted by evolver1972 Agreed, even if I hope late may. Releasing a game in the middle of summer isn't a great idea, most people actually have a life that period. Just after Gamescon late august/early september is not unlikely but i think it depends on the beta. If everyone thinks it is ready to release we should see it in may. |

SWTOR, you could buy it in JULY and game did not release until December. Use that as a guideline. Not finite, but at least a guide. (-_-) |

Originally posted by alancode This is true, BUT SWTOR wasn't doing beta weekends at the same time, so this might be a quite accelerated release schedule. |

Originally posted by alancode The difference, though, is that SWTOR still wasn't ready even then. ANet is being a stickler about making sure things are ready for release, so if they're getting to this point they must really be feeling confident that they're about ready. |

Originally posted by Volkon You'd think that, but you do realize every gaming company out there says "when its ready" right? I mean and MMORPG is a huge undertaking and no matter what to get over 1 million subs or 2 million sales is hard to do for any company. We may get the same bullshit we got with TOR and RIFT. They say its ready, 2 million people starting to play..and shit starts to break you never know. (-_-) |

June-July most likely barring any major setbacks. |

I think late May. Could be as early as late April (though very doubtful considering the preorder gives you access to beta weekends - plural being the key here) or as late as September. Best bet is Late May - Late June. I doubt they would postpone a release past September seeing as how there will be a closed "public" beta starting later this month that probably means they are 2-4 months from a release. |

I'm sticking with my May 18th prediction I made several months ago. They will probably have 2 beta events for the 1 million who applied during the available window a couple weeks ago. Then they will broaden the beta events to everyone who preorders, which will be a pretty drastic increase in preparation for launch. Then release a little over a month later :) |

Originally posted by alancode No they don't. The vast majority set a target date then squeeze what they can in by that date. Anet has a history now of never promising anything that's not already in game and working, so when they say it's ready you can have a much greater confidence than you would with other companies that it's actually ready. |
