Maybe what needs to happen is for an Attorney General or state Representative to file some subpoenas and look into the shenanigans that appear to be going on behind closed doors. EA is beginning to look like the Telcom industry of the late 1970s just based on its acquistions. These reviews stink to high heavens of something nefarious. What makes the reviews of 73+ people anyless valid then the reviews of 600+ most of which more then likely never touched the game and are simply butt hurt over the day one DLC?
I came to this sight to get away from places like /v/ and even Reddit, turns out this place may be just as bad. |

I'm not sure what all the drama is about but I'm about 6 hours in and loving the game so far. I just beat ME2 again on Friday last week, so I have a direct comparison between the two games. The entire game just feels refined over its predecessor, the only gripe I can think of is stream lining the conversation choices. Although I'm not too concerned about that, as there are still plenty of chances to investigate topics and still have meaningful choices. I just don't see how this can even be compared to the whole DA:O vs DA2. I can understand why people would be completely upset about the direction of DA2. Bioware drastically altered the formula from origins to 2 and not everyone is going to like the changes. In addition that game definitely felt rushed but it still had its merits. In contrast ME3 is really just MORE ME2, just slightly shinier and more polished. So if you don't like ME3 AT ALL, I'd assume you didn't care too much for ME2. |

Longest, most stressful game install I've EVER done.
Been home for 3 hours after having picked up the game. Pop in DVD1 of 2. ONLY button on it says 'install origin'. I have Origin installed but I click it anyway. I hear whirry noises and then the game launcher proceeds to....... do nothing. I open Origin, take the game code and activate it in ORIGIN. I now have to download 10+ gigs. Takes a while. Uses up a chunk of my monthly bandwidth (which is lame) Once it is done, I put in the pre-order code, only to have ORIGIN recognize the code, then deem it invalid. Try putting the code in on BioWare's lame ass social crap, cuz there weren't enough places to be logged into already, but it says the pre-order code has already been used. Wonderful. I'm not the only one with this issue and more, apparently: http://social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/344/index/9653252
Meanwhile...PIRATE clicks a hacked .exe and plays ME3.

I've only been playing a couple hours but I think ME3 is great so far. But I've pretty much liked every bioware title since Kotor. |

Finished the game today. Love it but some things irk me: the sex scenes are non-existent - WTF?! Can't romance EDI - sucks. There is a shortage of quality side-missions and whats there is similar to MMO's where I need to scan, collect and bring an item to someone... if anything, it made me appreciate SWTOR much more... and these missions are also played in a very small boxed area that they use in MP so they feel pretty bland compared to the grandiose main missions... I would give it a 9/10 but overall its a winner |

Honestly after ME2, DA2 then swtor I knew that ME3 would be a total piece of shit. I had no doubts in my mind about that. Though it does suck when it comes true. Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either: A. Proven right (if something bad happens) or B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens) Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime! |

Originally posted by SterlingG I'd like to know how anyone can give a 9/10 to a game, an "epic game that completes an "epic" trilogy, when they can finish it in a single day. People don't even realize how low their expectations have grown courtesy of EA. *munches popcorn* But damn, I am enjoying the EA hate. For some at least, the rose tinted glasses have been irrevocably smashed. It's heartwarming. |

If you do what state of mind do you really think they are in? Sleep deprived and wearing a wet diaper for some 12 plus hours probably doesn't make for a decent gaming experience no matter who you are. End point being do you seriously believe the opinion of anyone so.... ur driven to stay up over 24hr hours straight playing a game non-stop repeatedly over and over 5-8 times that they didn't like? I think most would term such people as crazy or at least masocistic. Yet the opinion of one probably medically defined as a obsessive compulsive masocist is what you put faith in? Seriously? |

I may be a big sucker, but they won't get me for a third time.
Got me with DA2, got me with SWTOR. I'm done with them. Haven't even thought about ME3. BioWare is dead. Its just EA. Throw crap in a box, and shove it out the door. |

Really not surprised, I never planned on buying it although I did play 1 and 2, but after DA2 and SWTOR coupled with the DLC crap I passed. Sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in and the DLC on day one was just the line in the sand for me. |

In my opinion ME3 is far from a DA2 situation. There were people who complained about ME2, that it took out this, and didn't do that right, some of it understandable, some of it not. The fact that some of the complaints about ME3 are that it's even more dumbed-down...make no sense to me. Seeing as how it's basically they took ME2, and ADDED some of the elements, not all but some back in, poses the question of, how exactly does that make it even more dumbed-down? I fully understand that a lot more focus has been put on combat going from ME2, and now ME3, which is the thing you quite a lot in the game. Having issues with the Day 1 DLC...fine, saying that the game itself is bad, without even really playing it, is silly. I'm not saying it's the greatest game ever made, but it is FAR from what most people are posting about it, if you are going to complain about a game, at least have some backing or actual reasons for it. Having issues with a code not working, that I am sorry for, and is clearly an issue. Having a problem with using Origin and the download rather than disc usage, again I agree with you there. The fact of the matter is most of the thing's beyond stuff like that, about the game itself, are more than blown out of proportion or just simply not true.
EDIT: As far as the META critic reviews go, it has already been posted most of them are un-true, being accounts that were made today or yesterday just to post hate about the game. I'm not saying that ALL of them are fake, but if you actually read most of them, they seem to be. |

Originally posted by Elikal Seriously don't know so maybe you can answer, how do we know the 600 negatives actually bought or played the game? Does metacritic require some kinda game ownership comfirmation. Hell forum poster(s) here have duped accounts to artificially raise scores for such games as Darkfall to unbelievable levels. Not saying the 600 negatives are all EA haters that really haven't played the game going on a crusade but it wouldn't be the first time such a thing has happened. So far the people I know in my guild have given it fairly good reviews ( though none have finished it so far) Most of them do disapprove of the same day DLC stuff though. I'd go with the opinions of the "normal" players over the "super crazy hardcore finish the game in one day" types. Sure maybe 1% of the population can afford to sit down and play a game for 24 hours straight, but I doubt I have much in common with them. (or thier opnions due to our different lifestyles and priorities) |
