May I ask why? How does the RMT effect you? It is a optional feature that you can ignore. It was around in D1 and D2 and any other MMO you play. Its called gold farmers.  What is the difference if Blizzard gives us a interface for the transactions or not? Its going to happen ethier in game with a interface or out of game.   

The difference now is that instead of combatting gold farmers, they've partnered with them.  There will still be a flood of cheap epics on the market, but now, Blizzard gets a cut of what was once illicit sales.  This is actually better for gold farmers because there was this little thing that most gamers possessed back in the day called common sense, which told them that giving out their credit card information to buy gold might be a bad idea.  Now, the gold farmers are officially sanctioned so they'll have a huge new market to sell to.

As to how that will affect people who don't wish to use the RMT shop, they are going to be hard pressed to find anything of high value on the in-game shop if they were looking to trade or buy for in-game gold.  Why?  Because everyone will be trying to make a buck on anything rare or better.  The in-game AH will be relegated to the role of a flea market for trash.

You know it cost money to try and make money on the RMT. I don't think many people will even use it. As for the auction house who really cares? In D1 and D2 there was no auction house. I'm playing D3 to have fun and that choice is not effected on what others do with their time.

Very confusing, one minute they tell the community not to get their expectations up, then one week later he indicates that players should hold Blizzard to a high standard for excellence?

Just about everything is set as it will be at release. There will certainly be tweaks here and there, and some small improvements, but no, we don't have any current plans to change the chat channel interface. We understand the requests, and have seen some of the creative suggestions, but we're in the home stretch and aren't looking to delay the release of the game further. Honestly speaking only a small portion of players will care if the chat channels are like they are, or if they're more like the huge screen-dominating feature in D2. We have to apply value to the additional time it would take to address a small amount of requests for a change, and it just doesn't outweigh releasing the game.

I'm fed up with these companies' BS, money making schemes and treating costumers like morons.

I'm another failed title away from taking up knitting and putting the rig on craig's list.

Quilting can be profitable. Might try that instead of knitting.

The game looks older and older everyday, 3-4 months ago I would buy this game with no doubt, now I'm having second thoughts.

Apparently it's not viewed the same by the testers:

A call to arms for the HARDCORE fans of the Diablo franchise. As has been evidenced, Diablo III is not on track with the expected standards of the majority of the Blizzard community. The skill system is unacceptable. And as per recent announcements from reputable Blizzard staff, they believe the game is going well. 

I however do not believe this game is going well. 

Sign in this thread if you will boycott launch if the skill system at the very least is not fixed properly.

Here is a tip for the game designers. Give us something closer to D2. We don't want a new system, but thankyou for your effort and consideration.

By signing here you fully accept that the game will take as long as neccessary to be released provided it is done RIGHT.

D3 will be fine.. truth is if D2 was a text based M.U.D played on a ZX sepctrum people would still complain that D3 is not 99.999999% exactly the same as D2.

Just cus things are different does not automaticly mean they are bad, easy mode, watered down, not fun , not deep and and wanted by "Todays" gaming community.

I am going to reserve judgment until i play it.. now thats a novel idea.

Fair enough but just be warned, there isn't much Diablo in Diablo 3. I have played it and I'm a die hard Diablo fan and it's a shell of what D2 was. I'd like to see a complete list of what features were removed from D2 because it's a lot.

LOL   That's what I was thinking too.  Not much left to resemble the first two games, is there?  I guess Blizzard is just doing what Blizzard does.  You can't really argue with the financial wisdom of that, I suppose, but integrity of the game series just goes to shit and oh well....what can we do about it?  Not buy it?  It's Diablo....I'm not sure I'm strong enough to resist even a watered down version. :(

Maybe if Torchlight 2 comes out first I'll be able to resist buying D3, which sounds less like what I loved in D2 than Torchlight 2 even.....

I'm not even talking about how easy the beta was, it was only a short part of normal mode. I'm talking about the key features they ripped out of what made Diablo Diablo, they just kept ripping and ripping until there's very little left. But hey, if you're looking for WoWablo, you are in 'good shape'.

I really don't understand why anyone would want to buy this game.

It's pretty bad, I've played it.  If the money is really burning a hole in your pocket, why not give that $60 to charity?  Maybe your donation will be used to find a cure for autism instead of wasting a few hours being disappointed.

If you enjoy D3, more power to you, you are a rare kind of person.

Everyone I know that plays it, hated the last update that dumbed down the game.

you are just a rare kind of person who wont play it. and of course the small number of people in these forums who hate all games these days and should really get a hobby.

D3 is a hack & slash game tailored for the WoW community.  I'll pass.

beta is overrated... you can play act 1 that takes about 40min that is all..

i've had each class except barbarian up to level 13... it's kinda got old tbh.. wtb moar acts or harder difficulties pl0x

Good to hear!  Don't release it until its done.  Every company should strive for excellency like Blizzard does.

What did they drop that makes you not want to play? I don't understand why it bothers people about the internet connection. Its 2012 and who isn't connected to the internet anymore 24/7 for the most part. Its like complaining that you need a computer to play a PC game. :P

As for torchlight 2 I have mild interest in. They need to do alot more then the first one to sell me on it.

It wont change the fact that D3 will be awesome.....i know.....but forcing me to go online with a single player game is getting a bit too much for me.
