That is just one mini-story of a melee class going up against a particular ranged class.  I could do more, but why bother.

You sound like a rational person, can you answer a question for me. Did the feeling hit you at a certain point(level specific) or was it a slow process? Seems a large group of peope, more than any otehr game I have ever payed attention to, is having these same reactions. IS it something fixable is what I really would like to know. Some things can be and some times they just can't.

Only hit me after a few weeks of level 50. I don't think it is fixable not until a major expansion anyway. I'm still enjoying the game. But if I'm not raiding I'm just in the fleet.

So for you its really end game stuff. My son hit that wall at 30 and said it just got boring as heck, but being young he couldn't be specific. He did say the world felt dead, but what you're describing sounds more like not enough content.

   To me this game is all about enjoying the content, really getting into the story line.  This is not a lvl up as fast as i can game like wow and so many others, I dont see how people can enjoy playing in that style, I think one of the reasons they do is because the quest line and story are so bad- and SWTOR cures this

I played a SIth Inquistor as well and you do not have the option to kill Lord Zash, it may have been a dialogue choice, but the reality is if you make that choice it is brushed off. Lord Zash is an integral part of the Sith Inquisitor storyline, you can not choose to kill her unless you come to the point in which the story allows for it and at that point you must kill her. The game does a decent job of creating the illusion of choice, but try to make those choices and you will quickly see that it is nothing but that, an illusion.

   couple of things, at least the story line leads you that way and makes it interesting , I did not choose that path so i dont know but you may have been allowed to kill her down the line or perhaps bioware will add that in, Sorry for the Spoilers to all the SWTOR fans who love the story

granted my highest char was in it's 30s but had alts of every class level 15+ but never did I find anything I highlighted in red true about this game...

Well put.  I soloed this game with a few toons.  My guild was just there to talk to.  I enjoyed it as a single player RPG, but not as an MMO.

What story line were you playing? I do not remember any real twists to the plot as a Jedi Knight. It was pretty cliche and the dialogue was cringe inducing in it's awefullness, especially the Kira Carsen dialogue.

I have suddenly even lost interest in pretty much all upcoming games and I have always looked to mmorpg.com for info on new games. I don't even know why I'm here right now when I could be playing SWTOR.

  Dont worry about it Wren, there are alot of half glass empty people out there and alot of people with very unrealistic expectations or with little patience, again this is not a game you are racing to finish. it is a game to be savored and enjoyed

LOL.. dude I played with SCUM on my Guardian (close combat) IN AOC and I dominated people 15-20 levels above me.. Most fun was a dude who told me to stand still and trade blows when I circled and PAWNED him with my polearm.. he couldent reach me.. Casters got pawned left And right... I smacked up more people in that game then I can remember.. A friend of mine got a whisper " I hope you die in IRL" from one fail player... If you had manged to get some Skill you would have undestood that Melee was as good as ranged.. Only class that was dangorus was the One Healer class that was almost unkillaball.. but you could still take them down if you were smart.. drank pots etc...
I even manged to kill people 3vs1..2vs1 etc.. and my most glorius thriumph I killed 5vs1.. all around my level..  The figth started as a 2vs1 battle and then 3 other dudes jumped in to help but they forgot to group up so I used them as Human shield dashing betwen them...

Your hole post is a Joke.. Politics in SWTOR were? against NPC.. that dosent count mate.. this just shows what mental skill you must have to Enjoy this game.. Rolling on Rails and having no clue about anything... Im glad SWTOR ruined other games for you becuase.. we would eat you like WOLFS if you tried any game with some serious skill involved..

Ps: Im glad you are having fun with your medicore copy cat game..

   And yes there are some very bitter and a bit crazy people on this forum also LOL

savored... wish I could even pass 30 without falling asleep.. honestly game would be good if they even tried with the class/talent system.. oh and made combat actually fun and engaging would be a plus as well..

this was said on another forum but MMO gamers seems so easily impressed you throw a nice coat of anything over the same old same old and all of a sudden it's the best game ever...

A game can serve any purpose it wants.  To say MMO's shouldn't focus on story is a sad testament to the current state of the genre.

 

I love SWTOR for the same reasons expressed by people on this thread.  I don't think I can ever go to a game with pages and pages of text.  People won't realize how great SWTOR is in terms of story and content until they have something to compare it to.

 

Unless other mmo's offer VO, at least for the main story and some important side story chains... a lot of people will complain.  I really feel SWTOR has created a point of no return, most new mmo's will likely have some form of voice over or else people will call it a "step back" in the genre.

The real sad things though is that all of you who like the game Lack any Sence of vision.. or want anny type of Innovation. You are happy just to have VOs.. and linear progression that is all that is needed for you to fork up money..

For alot of us this isent Enough.. we want other things then VOs and boring kills quest, running RAids over and over.. And if you like Riads, doing quest and levling, Guess what you can do it for free.. or for a one time Fee like GW2. Its lucky for Bioware that there are people like you, makes their jobb easy, they just have to copy paste and they are done.

But dont expect the rest of us to respect anyone of you for playing this game. We dont.. you know all those old cartoons when someone gets played or are made out to be a fool.. They get a lollipop over their head "SUCKER" that is how the reast of us see when we read your posts.. And if you like to be the laughing stock of the Internet.. Go right ahead...

  Zlayer you make some good points of course than you ruin it by insulting your readers.  Innovation is important and I do expect bioware to continue to improve things like the Space game and if they dont then I will be dissapointed.   Many of us are somewhat dissapointed in MMO's because they lack the fun factor and story line, SWTOR puts the fun factor back into the game .  To many of us the mmo treadmill is not where its at, we want a great story with cut scenes and voice overs and we want that in a massive scale

Cool writeup.. sadly I am still looking for my "permanent home" .... although I think I have accepted for me that will never happen in MMOs.

Happy for you that you found yours !!! - Currently I am finding attachment with Kingdom of Amalur... pretty fun stuff. ( although single player )

   That is exactly why I would go from mmo to mmo with the exception of shadowbane, lotro and vanguard ' even those I could not play longer than 4 months at a time. Racing to the top was just not for me I needed something more and with SWTOR i got it

very curious here how does swtor give you "something more" besides the story

You also have EvE online... I cant delevel you but I can mostly do everything ells...  So sorry to burst your bubble but yes Developers still make games, like that. These types of games are Also hughe in Korea and Asia, but they like PvP to the extent that, clans have even taken fights outside Into IRL... That is dedication baby... Ending a game session at the Arcade with a Real knife fight in some back ally... (this has happend many times in Korea, no Joke)

That's not dedication, it's just ridiculous.  Video games are just that, games.  I understand that some people prefer varying levels of realism in their game, but at the end of the day it should be fun, and not something that will get you stabbed, divorced, depressed, or whatever.  

However, if you really do want that level of commitment and permanence, let me suggest you leave your basement and get a job. Perhaps something in the armed forces. (you might find what you're looking for there).

  LOL I have come on these forums and have criticiezed Eve severely , so I cannot get to upset when someone criticizes SWTOR unless they make a crazy comment
