Hi all,
I've been looking for long time (with breaks when I was giving up) for MMORPG that is based on community interactions, without NPC shops with most powerfull items for example (so you have to get in touch with other players to achieve something) and open pvp system (so most areas of world you are able to attack others, you can loot their items etc.) where you loose something upon death (and not only you respawn somewhere and not have feeling that your death didn't impact your character seriously). Know it's pretty much but I still hope there is game like this. So, games I liked: -Runescape It's world structure (logicaly made world with everything on it's place) and player interaction system hooked me for some time but stopped playing because of controls' mechanics (laggy point and click), -Tibia
Same as Runescape it had very well built explorable world also pvp apart from lvl based on player skill and deeply community based gameplay (couldn't survive an hour without getting to know other players), was playing a bit older version and stopped after plague of people from my country destroyed it ;) -Face of Mankind I liked that it was sandbox and economy was player driven but world was lacking exploration, combined of rather city like maps connected only with teleports. Examples of games I didn't like at all: -RYL, -Last Chaos, - Rappelz
Anyone knows/plays something that I might like?

I presume you are looking for a sandbox because of your emphasis on economy, social, and PvP? If so, Darkfall and Mortal Online are worth looking into, though both are from indy companies, expect bugs and not the shiniest graphics. Eve is a great space option as well, with the best player run economy out there. As for up and coming releases, keep an eye on ArcheAge. |

Mortal - if you want a little bit of everything but only have a few weeks to play and do not mind a lot of bugs or very sad PVE. NEWS FLASH! A bank was robbed the other day and a man opened fire on the customers being held hostage. One customer zig-zag sprinted until he found cover. When questioned later he explained that he was a hardcore Darkfall Online player and knew just what to do. |

salem that is due out at some point sounds like what you might want. you can try its earlier version of haven and hearth. there are 0 npcs in the game other then wild animals, as well as FFA pvp/loot (pvp and looting require skills to do) but its a full world mmo nothing built but what players made :/
though it will most likely make you rage quit lol also HnH is 2d graphics soo if thats your think it might turn you off on it CPU: Intel Core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80GHz @ 2.8GHz (0%) |

Thanks for info guys I will check trails of those games if I like any and yes, I generally meant sandbox but it's not most important, I'm really looking for something with adrenaline rush pvp as Sid_Vicious stated ;) Maybe you know something f2p (also with premium account option) and not with manga/cartoon graphics that would fit what I wrote? |

Originally posted by desoluna I doubt it that there is f2p sandbox game like his. You might try Wurm online but i dont think it has pvp. But dont take my word for granted I little played that game. And Talking about Mortal Online i could say that im trying the trial right now and i love it :) Open pvp world where only other characters can create good items. Full pvp loot < is awesome too :) Anyway There arent that much bugs i bet they are going to fix some of them when new expansion comes out and its going to be really soon. Regarding combat i bet you will get adrenaline rush :) because combat is slow i mean you need to think what are you doing. You can block in 3 ways and you can hit in 3 ways :) And satisfaction killing your opponent after long fight is priceless. Thats why i prefer mortal online than dfo :) Dfo combat is just running zigzags and trying to hit each other... I dont see anything fun in that. And btw If player blocks you always can go for the legs to do little more damage... or atleast going for unprotected body parts :) Anyway sorry for my broken english :) |

Yea not much in FTP in the sandbox genere. Wurm was mentioned, there is open pvp in that game, but the graphics/animations are brutally bad. The pvp is not a focus, nor is economy.. at the beginning it is all about surviving enough to gain some skills. Every encounter is life-threatening, even rats. Then you can build a house etc. There is a free trial, so try it out. I did after seeing a write-up by mmorpg.com, but I think the mad rush from after that article made it lag to unplayability. I quit fast. I think MO or DF are your best bets. There is a DF2 in the works as well, though no solid news on release schedule. EDIT: Or do what I do; go play Skyrim till something good in MMO's comes out :) Its a blast, though many go over the top with calling it a sandbox. It has some elements in player progression, exploration, and choice but a sandbox it is not. It is a themepark with the rails broken into smaller pieces that you choose which one to hop on next. And it plays just like all the current AAA themeparks out there: Single player ;)

Achaea. PvP everywhere. Laws to stop griefing (like if someone kills you for no reason, you can hire an assassin [who is another player, generally really strong]). Player run guilds and cities, so if you became the head of one, you have all the power. You can wage war upon other factions, etc. RP enforced, though, but you can get OOC help pretty easily. |
