Is that about WoW? I really don't see any relevance to GW2 but it's sure like other mmo's All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick. |

probubly better placed in the General Discussion thread. Be honest. you wanted to do this to bump up Guild wars 2 hits for this week.
anyways people who think that Guild Wars 2 is gonna be this massive innovative thing need to look at TSW more closely. sorry kiddies, you guys dont hold a candle when it comes to innovation. Because i can. |

I laughed at his name, "ROFLFACE". But yes, quite true. |

Obviously there's not enough space in one year for 2 promising games to move the genre forward, so we better duke it out right here and now! |

Guys and galls of the MMO community, this is actually just a matter of minset, i forced myself back to the firstbposition and that allowed me to enjoy SWTOR, and now i am back to AoC and just running around and exploring places.
But it requires a change of mindset, not doing that will eventuallt kill every MMO experience for you, including GW2, it will only take longer in GW2, but it will kill the experience eventually, i know it would for me.
So i forced myself back to the first picture and i know its the right attitude to enjoy MMOs again, including GW2
Currently i am a super hero in DCUO. |

Originally posted by LadyNoh That's what they said about AOC by Funcom and considering it's by the same company, I don't expect much at all from them TBH. Having learned my lesson from AOC and how Funcom treats its customers, ANet for me thank you very much. |

I don't think anyone ever actually played MMOs like that. The metagame has been a part of RPGs for a very long time. Maybe when people are new to the genre they think that the first time they play, but that shine wears off in a few days. EDIT: More accurate would be changing the first panel to "How I wish I played MMORPGs". "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." -Dr. Seuss |

Very nice cartoon! :-) Well it's true, usually immersion wears off when guides and wikis come into play. And to be honest I don't think GW2 will be that much different. As long as most content in a game is fixed end predictable, people can write guides about it and others can learn from the mistakes others made. There's no mmorpg with truely dynamic content. Some of my most memorable MMO moments are runing around as a noob in Everquest in huge zones without maps. Exploration at its finnest, it's how I discovered many çamps/zones and even cities. And in a game with so many corpse runs you better pay attension and figure out where you are by remembering rock formations/trees/bushes or you are putting your hard earned gear on the line. Good times heh, I'll never have those moments in a MMO ever again.
I care about your gaming 'problems' and teenage anxieties, just not today. |
