A simple truth-"What people want and what is good for an mmo is not always the same thing"-mrw0lf |

I'm impressed than anyone still believes anything SV says...... their fans seem to exceed even DF's in terms of wide-eyed innocence. "Just because you aren't paying doesn't mean it's not PTW." - Amaranthar |

Well, I haven't said I'm a fan or that I believe it. But I believe they themselves believe it, SV I mean... |

This just in: 2 years ago Mortal Online had 30K pre-sales... with many, mnay rpg fans supporting StarVault.
That has went comepletly away because Henrik isn't making a rpg game, but a pubecent king of the hill clan game. |

This is fairly interresting, although their problem have always been delivering, not promising :P
"Star Vault har under 2011 genomgått en del förändringar och bland annat tvingats revidera den tidigare målsättningen om att nå break-even under andra kvartalet 2011. Orsak till detta har varit att Mortal Online inte levt upp till spelarnas högt ställda förväntningar och att Star Vaults kostnadsmassa har varit för stor"
This says that they have gone through some changes and had to change the earlier goal of break-even Q2 2011. And the reason for this is that the game didn't live up to the players expectation and the costs for Star Vault have been too great. Atleast they are aware that players are dissapointed :) |

Yep this shit is legit. None other than the chumps at starvault would release expac 2 earlier then expac 1. "Two steps backwards, one step forward" is after all the company motto.
Lookie here, Starvault are putting their Prediction System to good use. The entire bucket list is PURE win.

They are probably calling the expansions 1 and 2 for every year. It looks like they want to release 2 "expansions" per year, and are just calling them 1 and 2 for every year. As they are calling this next expansion "expansion 1" when they released Dawn last year. So 2 releases per year like CCP does. If they can keep that up, and make sure they actually work, seems like they should be able to improve the game at a steady pace. But thats a BIG if. |

Actually, they plan on releasing two expansions a year. So if you actually read some of the words besides jumping the gun to bash MO, yo would see that is Expansion 1 for the year 2013. The expansion 2 is for the year 2012. Maybe it wasn't put the way I would do it, but that's what it means.
No comment about the memo, it's just that, a memo. |

Originally posted by Worstluck Actually, it was me trying to play on the "Two steps backwards, one step forward" joke. I should have probably worded it better myself, but hey Im not going to blame you for not reading into some of the words and jumping the gun to defend MO. I know you might just want to point out a mistake and definitely not know SV/MO's past bloopers but cmon man, when you want a joke explained is when you just dont get it.
Since Henrick was running his mouth off on how one of the previous patches would make it MO2.0, I will take it for granted that whenever he means an "expansion" release he is going to hype the hell out of the game like its going to be MO3.0 or 4.0 and so forth. So releasing xpac 1 After xpac 2 (in their owns words) is like rerolling their servers to MO3.0 from a MO4.0 because MO4.0 was just a problematic placeholder in all its entirety. Two steps backwards, one step forward isnt it? Now whats left to see is if this "expansion" will even bring the listed features and be more than just another patch aye? Just so you know, the features that were promised for being in the Dawn expansion are still being promised for the Awakening expansion. So you see, its always two steps backwards, one step forward for Starvault. Its the company motto after all. Gullible are the fanboys; How blind is their sight! |
