I love swtor to bits and its been alot of fun for me but also alot of frustration. My biggest bug bear is the lack of effort thats gone into the various classes armour sets. Quite frankly the artists who designed them should be publicly flogged for some of the travestys they have produced. Prime example is the inquisitor end gane set. My inquisitor looks like a cross between a drag artist and  a las vegas showgirl with pink flmingo feathers coming out their arse. what on earth where they thinking.

I seriously hope they are adding new armour sets to the game going forward.  Its such a disappint ment to get to the level cap and see these monstrous creations.

I personally feel that the quality of armour design is quite uneven; and I agree that much of the end-game armour is not great looking--consular gear, for example, is too exclusively female oriented.  On the other hand, many of the armour sets before end-game, especially any of the cunning gear, is quite exceptional--sleek, detail rich, and absolutely nicely fitted to character models.  I'd go far as to say some of that gear is the very best design I've seen in an MMO.  And thank you BioWare for allowing female characters to wear context appropriate gear as opposed to the skimpy and context inappropriate sets from many other games.  But then you look at bounty hunter gear and you kind of wonder what happened cause truthfully the sets are almost entirely bland and awkwardly fitted to models.

Worth noting though that we'll soon be able to pull mods out of the end-game sets to apply to the orange sets of our choice.  So this would mitigate some of our frustration.

If you're looking for badass armor sets.. why would you roll a humble jedi?

My smuggler has badass gear on right now.  I'm looking forward to becoming a cowboy later on.

Most of the badass jedis from the Star Wars universe are wearing white robes, brown robes, black robes, or a shirt and pants like Mr Skywalker.

Didn't they actually design a ton of armor sets and then, for some reason, not actually implement them in game? I believe - though I am not certain - that a lot of people are quite angry that the armor sets seen in the famous class progression videos Bioware made to help sell the game are not actually in the game at all - or at least not yet.

While I agree with you at the same time really a robe is a robe but what is with all the earth tones. It is like you have  choice of 3 robes a brown, a brown and that one over there is the brown one.

What are you saying ?

Some of (especially) Empire classes have cool, epic , giant SHOULDER PADS !!

My smuggler also looks pretty good. Not much you can do with robes unless you do different colors. Only so much they can probably do too. Pretty sure LucasArts has some say in armor design.

there was much more variety in beta. they'll probably reintroduce it all as "new" content later.
