We are aware of this issue and currently working on bringing the server back online as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on this page for any updates and notices on when Holodeck is available again." I almost feel bad for Cryptic... almost. Server crashes are not a good way to celebrate an anniversary...

Crashed hard today, guess they just can't handle all the influx of people playing it. Today it was lagging so I tried to change instances and there were over 70+ on every instance. Still, I can't believe how much fun it's been to retry tis game out. Not a penny paid and I just got my free Enterprise-F to go with all my XI STF gear. Now my Klingon is already at Captain...good times, good time.

The influx of another few hundred people just exacerbates the problem. One would think a game developer would perform stress testing on their servers to gauge what load they can handle and make adjustments. Then again, that assumes the developer actually gives a hoot about putting forth a quality product.

That's why the games free to play.
