he did mock tor's flaws pretty good. He is right about he good parts of this game . The fact that haters want people to blast every little thing about the game and he didnt is a huge joke on u in my opinion. So coyote likes tor get over it , u dont have to like tor we get it u guys hate tor , any one who likes it is paid to like it or so forth we get all that. Tor fans are dick's with no life who wouldnt know a good game if it bit them in the ass yelling good game good game, we get thats how u feel coyote doesnt agree so get over it. |

Hm no mention of the lacklustre PvP... inability to choose warfronts, lack of incentives for world PvP, only two level brackets which means constant facerolling for anyone less than level 40. No mention of the complete lack of innovation in regards to MMORPGs. No, voice acting is not innovative, it has been done for years and heck even Dragon Age Origins has better story and voice acting than this. Also it is false that your choice in dialogue can alter the quest, the final outcome is always the same. The only thing it effects is the dark/light points and some fluff, like an NPC dying or not but which has no effect on the outcome of the quest. Mass Effect 2 had real quest decisions as in that it affects your relationship with NPCs and future quests, in SW:TOR that does not exist at all. But SW:TOR is fun, yeah sure but so is bowling. That does not make bowling a good MMORPG. Fail review. |

When he fails to bring up FACTS. Like how the PvP is so underdeveloped and all the crap that has gone on in Illum and that the choices you make in quests actually has little to no meaning (like they do in other Bioware games) then it is not about being allowed to like it or not. Also he says that this game has it all. Really? I haven't even heard that from the most adamant fans of this game. At best it is negligence on his profession and at worst it is deliberately deluding people. |

A majority of the player base that started at release and stuck with playing one character are max level. I think you did not account for the large amount of players who really enjoy what SWTOR game play offers are spending their time leveling a 2nd/3rd/4th character doing what SWTOR does well which is the story.
If you really think it takes 20 hours a day to get to max fast in this game I am really not sure what game you are playing because its certainly not SWTOR.

i gotta be honest, when i read that SW:TOR killed Revan and the Exile (main characters of KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2), even though I havent played SW:TOR yet, I started to have a bias against it. :( My Blog About Hellgate Global, an ARPG/FPS hybrid MMO: Hellgate Global Official Fan Blog Currently Playing: Hellgate Global, LoL, Skyrim, Morrowind |

MMORPG Staff 1: We need another review of SW:TOR MMORPG Staff 2: Great idea, but we cant make it too positive because the readers will know we are shills. MMORPG Staff 1: Hey! lets get Coyote to write it. MMORPG Staff 2: Yeah, he'll do it. He hates everything. MMORPG Staff 1: Hey Coyote. We need you to write one of your Howlings about SW:TOR Coyote: But....me likes teh SW:TOR MMORPG Staff 1: Really? Well make it a fluff piece. Just howl at it a little then. But make fun of it in a nice way. We dont want to risk our advert $$ Coyote: Ok, but make sure Mr. Lucas knows Im just kidding. I dont want to end up with an Ewok head in my bed.

Originally posted by Yamota You have to be very unlucky and always run into some serious skilled pvp players if you get facerolled if you are not 40 well or you just lack skills and are too busy whining about not beeing 40+ all the time and forget to fight bk i dunno all i do know is that i dont have probs holding my own in pvp against higher lvls it was very bad with the 50s in full pvp gear but now the 40s are not that big of a deal anymore. I do agree with you on the quests tho HOWEVER the choices can alter your personal story tho i believe one job will loose (kill) 1 companion if you picked the right (wrong) choices another job could turn a Jedy to the dark side depending on your choices you will open up Companion quests if you treat them well enough and raise the affection so there certainly is more change to the story in thgis game than in any other MMO to date..... |

SWTOR is to MMORPGs what SPORE was to strategy games. A terrible game with a gimmick that manages to miraculously score 85% everywhere even though the vast majority of players find its shallowness and lack of actual content disgusting. |

Bait you new to mmos? Because every single mmo that ever came out had a lack of content , but swtor has alot of it.
People that come to these forums just to whine need to find anew hobby. There is nothing wrong with swtor it's just that most of the whiners want this and want that buy most importantly they want to be the best, and when that doesn't happen ohhh boy here come the tears! Seriously get over yourselfs and go get a life! |

Im enjoying the game beyond my expectations. I knew I was going to enjoy the storyside, because I like most Bioware games. I also knew that I had to limit my expectations in terms of freedom in the game. Bioware games are usually quite lineair for rpg's. But what I didnt expect is that this game got rid of some of my (WoW and LOTRO) petpeeves. A few examples are: - Being able to sell in most combat areas, so you dont have to trod back just to clear your inventory. Or just send your companion to sell for you. - No nodehunting if I dont feel like it ! I simply send my companions to do this. - Nice questing flow in terms of placement (you always somehow stumble on them). I know that this is also because its so lineair. But this was already expected by me. The lack of having to travel back loads of time over the same road then really helps. - The bonus missions are a nice way to deal with the typical kill x mobs. The way they automatically start when you first enter the area helps with my questing flow. There are more of these tiny things that this game doesnt annoy me with like in some other mainstream MMO's. The things I dont like : - User Interface. Big and clunky! I hate it that chat is the top left corner! wtf! With all the quickslot bars and the rest of the interface, its almost as if Im peering through an anorak hood all the time. Kenny anyone? - Republic fleet. A stupid large circle as main hub. Somehow they managed to make sure that players never hang around longer then they have to. This will never become a popular hub to hang out. - Space missions. I tried to like this. But everytime when I want to go into a direction that I think is strategically better, I get pulled into a different direction. Rail space ftl! It makes me feel as if Im playing on an arcade machine on board of my ship. |
