Why do people bash the game when they admit that they have not played in some time. If they have not played in some time they know nothing about the game as it is at this time.

Also why put down the game if you have not played through, with at least one char., to the end  game. This game has more end game content then any other MMO I have played, except maybe DAoC with which I think it is on par with, and I have played many.

Current players are not able to do the end game, only a couple of guilds went beyond tier 3 andnot many guilds can even PuG tier 3.  A lot of people played recently due to free to play and they found the game lacking and left.  Gameplay wise this game is just not as good as the popular MMOs that a lot of players like playing.  Aion, rift, wow, star wars, GW, LOTRO, a few free to play games that have players which is important to an MMO. They have players because they have better gameplay and are more fun to play.

After the expansion nothing new came out for a year and then after FTP no major over hauls happened, it isn't like anyone is working on AoC as they are all dedicated to TSW now as the population of this title goes from not enough players to do anything to dead empty with a few players soloing dailys.

It has much less end game content than EQ1, EQ2,  WoW,  Aion, Rift, DoAC, GW.  It doesn't have much content aside from solo quests and solo bori, if it had a fun end game then there would be enough players to do the end game content, which in total is less than any other MMO and much older as what other three year old MMO are you still doing day 1 raids?

played it on release for about a year. came back and played for a few more months last year. Like the game, but I don't see enough people to play regularly meaning I won't p2p, and f2p doesn't let me access the content I would want to play. So I don't play.

basically this...if F2P in't enjoyable and P2P isn't justifiable the the game is unplayable.

There are zero guilds able to do +T3, and only a few guilds able to PuG T3 in all of North America. If you want to join a good guild you need to play another game as development is to slow and what hits live is to buggy to keep good guilds.  Raiding MMOs need new content every 3 to 6 months to keep players from getting bored, while AoC players raiding three-year-old content.

I'm sure a couple hundred players play this daily and have fun but more play other games or MMOs and have way more fun because those are better quality MMOs.

I played AoC recently and it doesn't seem like the developers care one bit, at level cap daily quests and farming PvE nodes is the entire end game with nothing new on the horizon.  The servers are dead in NA and they wont merge them.

It's sad. I really wish developers would make a game based around a low-population of players, and then cater to the ones that pull in a high playey-base. 

One mere fault in this process is the assumption the game will have a large pop. Many developer's naturally assume so. They are mostly wrong. Even though a low-mid pop is good, it's not great--Like developers inspire their game to be.
