this is from another post i wrote so i decided to just copy and paste haha
if you go to battlefield play4free forums you will see EA for who they truly are.. They actually sold people items that where advertised as "Last Forever" and with specific capabilities and then took those items away after purchase and gave them different items that did not match what was advertised and is of lesser value...without even the option for a refund.. They even lied to the players on the forum saying they wouldn’t lose the weapons they bought and then after they removed the weapons they removed their post on the forums.
EA is currently being sued for something similar… EA promised PS3 players a free copy of battlefield 1943 with purchase of the new battlefield 3… and then when it was time to pay up they went back on the deal…
EA is becoming well known for being thieves and liars…
After the people who spent money on Battlefield Play4Free got ripped off they made signatures with pics of the devs and the words “thieves and liars” on it and everyone started to use it…Well they didn’t like that and are now going on a banning spree on anyone who uses the sig..
EA will do anything they can to rip you off or mislead you to purchase their products xD

EA is becoming well known for being thieves and liars…
they have been well known thieves, liars and much worse for roughly 16 years. more if you just count the liar part.

Oh yeah I forgot. . I was a huge fan of BF2. . but have not bothered with BF3 yet. SImply due to not wanting the hassle. Wa min God! Se æx on min heafod is! |

EA has systematically taken individually great studios/companies and managed to have these former greats release sub-standard games due to time, lack of focus, etc.

Think a question is 'does it matter'? The truth is that gamers can 'hate' a company all they want, they still buy EA games when it comes out. Mass Effect 2, BF3, FIFA are just some games that are selling millions and will continue to do so. Wonder why there seems to be more haters on the internet? Read this by an actual marketing guy to find out why. |

I guess i dont hate EA but i dont buy their products. But what they have been doing has been working for 10+ years and people keep voting for them with there wallets so no matter how much people say they hate them, their money is speaking a different tune. I would say by now people have a pretty good idea what EA is going to do with games yet the company still profits, so its working. |

I don't hate EA persay, as they do at times come out with games that I like to play. Dead Space 1 and 2 as well as Mass Effect 2 and future Mass Effect 3. But I am growing more and more leery of them as time moves on, with their ever increasing stance of DRM and seeming future inflexible of 'you gonna have origin' with running their games, but the jury still out on that. After swallowing and killing off several favorite studios of mine, listed a few posts above, they always rested in that grey area for me. |

I don't hate EA.
People just need someone to blame. These people don't actually like this game because of personal preference, not because EA made a bad game.

EA just has a terrible reputation in the industry with other developers and among fans with poor customer service. EA has a horrendous habit of never fixing their crappy games. It might be EA that killed WAR.. as opposed to Mythic Studios. EA's reputation is so bad that they are slowly getting rid of the EA name in favour of the Bioware name. Bioware after being acquired by EA opened up 4 more random studios... and suddenly EA's studios vanished. There is another one Bioware Austin that is just suddenly appearing. Eventually I'm sure there will be a company called "Bioware Sports." Now you see products like Wrath of Heroes being made by Bioware. Sorry I meant Bioware-Mythic... formally known as EA-Mythic. Once Bioware's name is burned out they will acquire another popular studio and try and pimp out their name. EA is insanely well known for silencing people, banning people from playing their game (without a refund). They are also the leaders of DRM (limited installs). From EA only half-decent game in last years was BF3 and even this game has horrid support. This game made ridiculous amount of money cause it is selling so good + it still does alot of money and yet EA is so bad ,slow and generally does not give a s**t about cheats in this game...
Still their games sell good (good that at least DA2 sold bad, especially comparing to DA:O ).
Anyway EA / Activision / Zynga / Bigpoint etc are like Rebecca Black or Justin Bieber - awfully bad and making me wanna puke , but well millions like and buy their games them so they don't care. |
