It's 38 Studios' game, and launch date is 7 February 2012 for US players :D

That's the single player game based on the world/lore being used by the mmo.

  What launches in about 3 weeks is their off line open world RPG ala skyrim

 Copernicus is their MMOG they dont really say much about it other than wall papers and the fact that it exists.

Yup, and it's "for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC", so no need for a keyboard, I guess...

For those that are not aware of this... 38 Studios is comprised of Todd McFarlane (co-founder of Image Comics and creator of Spawn), Curt Schilling (former Arizona Diamondback pitcher who helped win a world series, and WoW fanboi) and R. A. Salvatore (renowned fantasy author)

Bleh, two of his WS rings came by way of my beloved Yankees... He should have stayed with the Orioles...

Yea from what I read the game they originally wanted was an MMO, but it turned into a single player console game with a PC port (or PC game ported to console I'm not sure). I think because of time/money constraints of making the MMO version. That or they felt it was worthwhile to make a single player games first... probably the smart move financially.

guessing you comment on the WoW fanboi part, he have been saying in quite alot of interviews by now that he loved EQ1 for its time, and then moves onto saying he is happy about the way MMOs have gone, and how much he enjoy his time in WoW

That's sort of the way I feel. If I'm enjoying myself then it's all good.

I mean, I love casual games but I'm also very interested in the game Dark Souls. I hope that someday they bring it to PC. I mean, I signed the petitiion after all!

The title is very confusing for people tbh. Kingdom of Amalur is the single player RPG. The MMO is known as Copernicus atm.

correct. "Copernicus" is the project name for their MMO that will be based off of KoA. Much like Blizzards new MMO is currently called "Titan" and TERA at one point was "Project S1".

I don't know much about what Copernicus has to offer just yet,  but if its anything remotely similar to KOA, its going to be really good, and something I'll much look forward to.

Sorry, just can't muster any excitement for another MMO branded with the EA logo.  They may not be the devs, but somehow they manage to fail everytime, anyhow.
