I like the game but make no mistake, like any other game it can and will get stale...maybe quicker than most games because story is so emphasized and you hear it over and over.  How many times can you listen to the same story?  And the story is not some award winning hugo/nebula award winner we are talking about.  It's good for mmo though.  But even my favorite novels I have only reread twice at the most.

 

From early game acess to prior to launch the game was running smoothly maxed out.  Today it's laggy so I don't know if they did something during the patch or what, but entering new areas there is some lag and also lag when blowing stuff up.  Never had that before.  Even during beta i was amazed at how smooth the game was.

 

The other thing I noticed is the game feels a bit...empty.  Most cantinas are barren or maybe one other person.  I see supposedly there's 100 other people in the instance, but I guess they are everywhere else.  The game ends up feeling a little lonely or more like a single player rpg sometimes.  My suggesstion is make cantinas a common instance so they are more populated.  Give us things to do in the cantina besides rest xp.  Give us some RP toys, like sitting in chairs, chat bubbles in cantinas, drinking/brawling/dueling games...something.

 

Like every other game it's great as long as I'm interested.

King of MMO's? If it's determined by player population or amount of content, then no, SW:TOR is not even close to WoW, and likely never will be in either regard. But if you're enjoying the game, I don't think it should matter to you if it's the "King".

It left me yawning. I'll wait to see what Mists of Pandaria and GW2 bring to the table. But for now, the genre has become stale to me.

Premautre poll, but I do see TOR eating up some of WoW's declining userbase if advertised right.  Also, that sucks about your LoL account.  Ouch.

I agree it is a little early to poll.  All I can say is that I am having fun right now with it and feel Bio has done a good job.  My only quams with what the OG posted put was that i do feel they have broken new ground in the questing department.  To say that the questions structure and lines are not ground breaking for a MMO I totally disagree with.  The question is will there be enough when you are done with those and is there enough to keep you going while leveling besides the quest lines.  Like many have posted on here I am under the view that the game is good enough that I will be playing for 6 months and at that time evaluate how I feel about it.

Then i think the MMO genre will slowly die.

If companies want to make out big they have to be willing to take a risk.

I think the options of "King of MMO's", or not, as the only options, makes for a bad poll.  It is definitely not the king of MMO's.  It has a long way to go for that, but it has the potential to get there in time.  The game does not have fundamental flaws.  Most of what people don't like about it can be fixed, changed, added, etc... over time.  Granted, it will never be the sanbox game that some people want, but it can easily be much more than it is.  It has a good foundation, but I don't think it is ready to be crowned.

Okay, let's put this myth to bed right here, right now. Here are some facts. 

1.MOST of  WoW's lost subs are mostly from their Asian customers.

2. BW/EA has never been shy to admit that they are eyeing a large chunk of WoW's base. 

3. Whether that will happen or not remains to be seen. As you said, time will tell. 

4. yeah, banned LoL accounts suck. OP, you should totally play Dota 2 when it comes out.

Ah, I didn't know that one.  It doesn't directly correlate with what I posted, but it's a good thing to know, though I'm sure someone out there would dispute it or ask for citation, but I'll take your word for it.  Thanks for the heads up.
