I am sitting here with a brand new copy of Star Wars:TOR in my little paws.  Why?  Because my friend Jake just had to go and by me a copy!

I cannot escape this.   He said he was coming over to play some Skyward Sword...but noooo...he brought me a copy of SW:TOR because he and my guildies from WoW want me to play SW:TOR with them. 

I'll let you know what happens.   LMAO!  I cannot belive this.  Why couldn't he have just gotten me a fruit cake.  :(

Well, maybe you can enjoy chatting with your friends at least? It might make the game feel more tolerable to you :P

I'll be honest. If a friend got me SWTOR I'd play the crap out of my "free" game time and experience all the content on at least one class since a bunch of my guild mates are already sitting at level 50 waiting to do content. Then I wouldn't resub after the 28 days.

Nah they been playing a lot over the early access. they didn't rush through their cut sceenes or any of that stuff.

If I got the game for free I'd prolly play it..atleast for the free month

Real friends start over so everyone in the guild is on the same page and/or make alts for people so there is always a character to play with somebody in there level range. Not, i am 50, hurry up

take the disc out and snap it front of his face then burn the pieces then spit on them then burn a blueray collection of star wars to show him you don't wanna play, thats what i would do...then disown them as a friend and call them a traitor.

Lol enjoy the free game. I had a similar experience with mine. Enjoyed the free playtime more or less. Debating on subbing for another month, we'll see.

IMO, the game is fun, because it's new; but for players like me the replay value (or lack of) really starts to sink in by the time you reach lvl 20. Some of the stories are more interesting than others, but a lot of the time I just don't care either way. Occasionally I get surprised by a part of the story arc (tracking down a jedi to kill was fun), but it's really just some heavy icing on a game we've all played before.

Let us know what you think, it will be fun to see. I wonder how many people will still label you a 'hater who has never played the game' as so many people here seem to think is commonplace.

If you didn't want friends to push you into a game that tries too hard to copy WoW, then maybe you shouldn't have been playing WoW in the first place?  If you had been playing EVE, your friends from that game surely wouldn't have tried to get you to play SWTOR.

All I'm saying is you'll regret your post history here :)
