Problem is people go into pvp thinking they can just randomly choose buttons to push and should win....When they don't they start QQ'ing that things are unbalanced because the other guy didn't die in a couple hits...
I beta tested for 4 months and took Agent, Jedi Knight and Bounty Hunter to 50 and had no issues with doing good in pvp... This is an old saying but there's a lot of truth to it "Learn to play the class before QQ'ing about it"

Originally posted by Margulis So far this is my only issue as well with my limited experience in beta and early access so far. Now the truth of the matter though is I played LOTRO for years and had easily made and played through over twenty alts in that game to one point or another and if I didn't tire of running through that content I doubt TOR will be able to turn me off in any less amount of time. What I'm also hopeful for is that much like Turbine BW will do a good job with streamlining the games experience post launch. I thought that more than any other developer out there that Turbine did an excellent job of enhancing the early game experience of LOTRO from it's launch until the launch of the first expansion even. Ultimately I hope that BW works on getting every single class it's own distinct story without reusing them from class to class or faction to faction, maybe something they can do on the side of any expansions they plan to release. I've spent so much time playing just about every other BW game I've ever owned that I don't see what could possibly get me to think this game wasn't worth a good year or more with what they have already launched |

Originally posted by JeroKane And I did that in WoW and every other MMO and it was always the same. At least this time I can branch and kill or help the people I helped or killed the last time, and I can see what it is like to be nice or mean , evil or good. It's a LOT different than WoW in that regard. I life TOR.
Someone please make a good MMO. |

guys, wait untill you lvl both factions to around 30, and realize that all you are doing is basicaly same quests other faction have, only first and second planets feel unique, third planet for each faction is pretty much same setting/story , sure quests might differ a bit, but it isnt much, and half of them are literly same, tatoinee is basicaly same for both, just different npcs giving missions out,
its quite sad, by third planet i already felt i knew all of us, by nar shadar i said, i did this on empire, by tatoine , i was like " you gota be shitting me " in no other mmorpg 2 faction questing was same, or felt almost same, yet one that focuses on story, is such narrow mirror its sad |

To recap for people who don't want to waste minutes of their lives.
Zones too big Zones too confined
Quests too chore like. Quests too easy.
Combat is dull Combat is too hard.
Seriously you guys have helped people only realize how schizo this thread is.
That's my Recap of this thread, stay tuned as we recap the recap of this thread at 4 |

Is that possible? Gasp. ... yes. Yes it is. Sadly, nobody has ever released a perfect game yet, that caters to all audiences. You should just learn to deal with the sad fact that not everybody enjoys what you do. :) |

Originally posted by Metentso I'm still waiting for MMO Maverick to come back and apologize to everybody he ever scoffed at for disbelieving his numbers. The idea that there's '200 hours of unique non-repeated content per class', that the 200 hours ONLY refers to your class story (Not including all the OTHER story stuff out there, oh glee!), and that doing light and dark side choices will lead to COMPLETELY different stories.... ... all that stuff was crazy, and I called it in the beginning. Not even EA has enough money to make that many stories. :/ |

The slow running thing for the first 14 levels makes doing those early levels again not very fun for me to imagine. |

Originally posted by Meowhead Hahah yeah, I called that out as BS way back when as well. 200 hours...yeah right! The crazy thing is that they probably have around 80ish hours of content (maybe half of which is unique) per class which really isn't that bad considering there are 8 classes. I don't know why they chose to advertise a RIDICULOUS number like 200 hours of content per class. Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob? |

They were actually quoted as having 200 hours of game play for each of the six classes, not including crafting, raids and the multiplayer. I'm not sure what they mean by 'the multiplayer'. Maybe that meant the warzones? I dunno. Here's the quote:
It seems like 80 hours is a lot closer to what they provide for each class's basic leveling experience (much less for some, maybe a little more for others). It kind of depends on what they mean by 'multiplayer'. Warzones? Flash Points? What is it? That could pad a lot of time in the game play experience. Join the League For Gamers. |
