I'd still be playing Fallen Earth now if Skyrim hadn't come along, and I'll be back in FE once I've exhausted the charms of Skyrim. That may tke a while though... ;) |

I was so looking forward to Fallen Earth and actually never ended up playing it. Maybe it is time for me to give it a shot to, that is if i can stop myself playing Lineage 2 for a day now that it is also free XD. ________________________________ Waiting for: Lineage Eternal "once upon a midnight dreary, while i porn surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of 'hot xxx galore'. I enjoyed it, needs more group content though. Solid sandbox otherwise. |

Originally posted by Wolfenpride this is it in a nutshell for me. i played the game in beta for a while and loved it, play at release a month and quit. The main reason was serious lack of things to do as a group. I could pretty much solo every single quest they threw at me, as well as solo most mobs. I mean sure you could say..."Hey let's group for these quests" but honestly with two people doing some of them, it would take 30 seconds to a minute, granted some quests were harder, I just found that Fallen Earth really lacks a reason to group. It sucked because I made a lot of friends, we just didn't have anything to do together :-/. I don't know if this has since changed, it has been a long time since I played, but that was my main gripe about it. Otherwise I loved the game that I played when I played it. (The game has changed some since then, I duno what has changed though) I am entitled to my opinions, misspellings, and grammatical errors. |

It was an okay game. Certainly worth checking out at least. Nice change of pace too if you're a bit tired of the fantasy genre themeed mmos. 1. For god's sake mmo gamers, enough with the analogies. They're unnecessary and your comparisons are terrible, dissimilar, and illogical. 2. To posters feeling the need to state how f2p really isn't f2p: Players understand the concept. You aren't privy to some secret the rest are missing. You're embarrassing yourself. 3. Yes, Cpt. Obvious, we're not industry experts. Now run along and let the big people use the forums for their purpose. |

game felt too cheaply made for me....movment and combat felt liek sumthing out of a low budget built game that was slapped together in 5 days. its playable but the combat and movement is just hooredus. |

FE probably has one of the BEST F2P pricing models. A free player has access to ALL game content that a subscriber has access to. The only "serious drawback" for free players is that crafting, scavenging, XP gain, etc. is 25% slower than the cheapest sub option. Free players also have an 8-hour cap on OFFLINE crafting, but no penalty for online crafting, other than speed. Levelling is generally fast anyway, and any player can get a free 1-hour 10% XP-rate buff from visiting a Bunker Bar in any town.
Any other F2P games offering that level of access ? |

Originally posted by SpottyGekko There is a pretty distinct difference between limiting a player's crafting flexibility (aka limiting access to higher level guild recipes as in LOTRO), vs. a flat limitation on the hours per day. Especially when some of the mid-level recipes take hours to complete. One limits the need to set up a subscription until you get towards the higher levels, the other encourages setting up a sub before the character has seen its first month of play. That's not even counting the fact that free players don't get access to global chat, which sort of makes subbing from the start more of a necessity. Unless, of course, that label of "second class f2p rabble not fit to chat with the rest of the group" is meant to convey a sense of belonging. This is just another one of those f2p systems that brings up the old "free to play is anything but" argument. |

I played it 6 month ago. I was in one of leading guild and everyone quit and moved to lotro. The complain is nothing to do end game. Another problem is the hacking issue. Can't really get into pvp because people cheating. But I guess that's with almost any FPS game, autoaiming etc. It's not that alot of people is cheating. It's that the people cheat pvp all day so you face them often. Other than that, I enjoy it. I dont' look at it as sandbox game(not that I know what sandbox mean). It's really themepark to me. I'm actually thinking of going back and try things etc since they get new content the last few month. |

Originally posted by Donev Really, ALL those games let F2P players access all zones currently ingame, and all quests ? And allow full access to PVP ? All of them allow you full-access to ALL content all the way to level-cap without costing a dime ? Including no initial game purchase required ? You may want to at least remove LoTRO from that list, because I know it doesn't qualify. You have to buy quest packs and expansion access in LoTRO, last time I checked. |
