I would rather deal with a week or two of crowded started zones than deal with the emptiness of how things are now with all of this instancing of zones. Getting a random group together to take out a rare mob or tackle a heroic quest shouldn't be an issue when my server is "very heavy", but it is when the players are spread out over a bunch of copies of the zone I'm in. Cities never even feel busy, it's lonely out there. Crowded starter areas we would have to deal with for a few weeks. This problem will always exist. |

The game can't handle it. There is something seriously wrong with the engine.... which explains why so many other details are missing too (alive npcs... high-res textures... AA option in-game... ambient noise... the list goes on).

Hmm.. I play for the most part on EU and so far not much of a problem. Some people love to level super fast and then not happy .. no what was launch? Relax the game is not even launched yet. There are tons of people still trying to figure out what they want. And your a little late to the party. Zoning will never change. So get use to it or HURRY and cancel now. Anyway thats why I LOVE the EU side. They are so nice.

good luck with this request; TOR's world is pretty dead. |

I have no problems playing the game at all. Also zoning helps to lower problems if the server is over loaded. You can always move to another zone. Also when you talk in chat every zone can see your chat since chat is gobal. |

I'm regularly seeing 100 - 200 people per instance. Doesn't seem empty at all. People everywhere

Also, saying you can't find a group because of the instancing is wrong.
All of the instances share the same chat and LFG thing. Maybe nobody wants to group with you? My live Stream:www.twitch.tv/dubyahite

Originally posted by Margulis I logged into a heavy populated server on day 2 of early access. There were about 5 people in the starter area. You could almost hear the crickets. I was never more happy about canceling a preorder for a game. The instancing/phasing in the actual launch is worse than it was in beta.

Originally posted by dubyahite I think youu totally misunderstood what he meaned. OP did not mean, group for instance but a group for taking out rare mob or heroic quest in OPEN WORLD. [mod edit]
Unfortunetally zoning will not go anywhere imo. Game propably cannot handle more players at same time in open world in one place. Another thing to add that this game resemble co-op game more than mmorpg... |

Doesn't matter what type of group you are looking for, the chat is still shared between all instances. That's how most people look for groups in this game. "Healer LFG Heroic Quest X."
You know you can look for groups that aren't for instances in chat right. People do it a lot.
This game doesn't feel like a coop game at all to me. Persistent world shared by a large number of players. MMORPG. This argument is old and tired, heard it 1000 times and it's still wrong. My live Stream:www.twitch.tv/dubyahite

You know you can tell how many people are in the same zone as you right? It's in the top left of the screen. My live Stream:www.twitch.tv/dubyahite

I rather see zoning, than 20 people waiting for one mob to spawn. |

To OP: no thanks. Have to queue (pun intended) for quest monsters as it is. There have been and still are enough queues as it is. If you want random group shout on general for it. Its no harder or easier than any other MMOs. |

I think the zoning works really well. The planets have enough people in them to feel alive, but not so much that I'd have to constantly wait for spawns. General chat is shared between all instances of same planet, so it doesn't interfere with grouping either. |
