The latest EVE Online developer blog deals with a new feature being introduced for pilots everywhere: Scale-able UI. Part of the reason for this new feature is based on the recent introduction of the scale-able font size. The blog is fairly technical but, in true EVE fashion, has pictures to illustrate the point! Read the full post and check out the rest of the screens on the EVE Online blog. Associate Editor: MMORPG.com |

lol. I'll admit that one of the biggest things that kept me off EVE was the inability to read the damn text on the screen. But, after they canceled Incarna and delayed WoD... caving in tot he whines of people moaning about something that they didn't even HAVE to buy.... I've lost all faith in CCP. |

Instead of fooling around with UI graphics they need to remove the ancient cascading menus. Developers stopped using them back in the 90's and there is no excuse for using them in a modern game at all. Until CCP realizes it, it will have one of the worst UI's on the market. |

LOL!!! I love catching all these dev blogs and updates since I recently threw in my eve towel and quit... I'm with Ozmodan on this. It's obvious now that they are intentionally avoiding improvements to the actual gameplay and core features. They messed up big time. All that time and money put into WoD development / predev, and then poof... nevermind, let's go back to drawing new ships and changing engine trails and turret art. Oh, and let's make the UI scalable.... frakking disgusting. There's SOOOO much more that needs to be done to this game and they are scraping the barrel for little unimportant shit to 'update' These jokers are ridiculous. "OMG! Check it out! you can scale the UI now!!!" ... ...and? Really? After 8 years+ of development, the ability to scale the UI is just now showing up and we're supposed to be impressed. Hahaha... Entertainment for me now. |

How about the Microsoft Ribbon feature from Office 2007, because I can find everything in that mess, will make eve understandable and easy to use. |

They didn't cancel incarna. They didn't cave to unfounded whining about the new look. The change in direction was in response to many things, but most specifically the NeX store, the content of a leaked company news letter called "Fearless," and the results of the emergency CSM meeting. But Trolls don't know about those; they are facts. Trolls don't deal in facts. Just baseless whining about rumor and conjecture. As for the rest of you, this is -one- bit of info on -one- update. The recent details on the Winter Expansion actually adress some of the game balances that gimmiesome is talking about. Just because CCP release frequent, specifically focused, press-releases like this, doesn't mean they arent working on the things you are concerned about. But you wouldn't know that, because that information wasn't spoon fed to you. Keep playing WoW. Stay out of my skies. |

Here's an update for you, Eve is not the big tough-guy game you make it out to be. In Eve, people steal your virtual money but in WoW, hackers steal your real credit card info. In Eve, you can run missions to pay your sub fee and not violate the license agreement, in Wow, you have to pay real money each month. You keep flying those skies tough-guy and keep telling yourself that if someone does not play Eve, they must be a WoW fan.

Seriously. I never even got out of the teen levels in World of Warcraft, which was 6 years ago when I tried to play it. "Keep playing WoW!" lololololololol. Keep stating things with no facts to back them up! Lolololololololol |

Eve: Losing your ISK to pirates or a a carefully planned and well executed ponzi scheme etc. = Intergral part of the gameplay, and it reflects the entirely lawless nature of New Eden. Adds to the community, the depth of the gameplay and ideally develops the player as a person too. Using PLEX to pay for your sub with hard earned ISK = In my opinion, you're doing it right. Plus, CCP is still making money as for there to be any PLEX in the system, somebody has to have bought it to begin with. WoW: Losing your cash to hackers = Get an authenticator, they cost almost nothing compared to the security of your account and pretty much everbody has a smart phone these days or can get one cheaply, so there's always the app. Paying for your sub with RL cash = You got a job, or your parents/whoever is paying it for you, congratulations. -- But really, the thing I have the most problem with your argument is the notion that paying for a game subscription with real life money makes it better or more manly than if you pay with in-game currency. And you can't say that either of them is better, because they're both better and worse for the player and the company in some way, but in our interest, I personally think it's incredible that we don't have to pay a regular monthly subscription, and it's the opportunity to make those sorts of choices that I feel makes EVE stand out as a truly adult game. Playing: LoL x3 |

LOL! Epic failure of trolling...
And if you quit Eve because the text was too small, well, that says a LOT about you and not anything about the game... |
