Coyote be glad you aren't from Europe. The first day of the release you couldn't even play cause Origin was bugged. Telling everyone that the game wasn't activated (even though you did it cause otherwise you couldn't even install the game to begin with). When you pressed the activate button it would show you a loading bar...half an hour later that same bar was there telling you to have one moment please as it was loading (no bs, it really took 30 minutes). Just then it would rudely tell you "You are not connected to the internet please try again" aaaaaargh. "Hey smartass im on msn at the same freaking time and browsing your forum to see what kind of joke you pull on me, what do you mean im not connected ot the internet".
And because it said this it would refuse to start battlelog so you couldn't even play the singleplayer if you wanted too. Thousands of people complaining on the forum but EA didn't say a damn thing. There was no sticky topic either. Then some american EA fanboys (i suspect it where people who work for EA >.>) shout that the european gamers are lazy and shout seargh the forum better cause it was mentioned (yeah like we gonna seargh hundred of pages to see if our problem is there because the Americans had the problem monday in some sort of way, its EA's responsebility to make something as important known to the users).
Funny enough when i looked for a solution earlyer i saw pirats who had cracks to play BF3 singleplayer atleast, sure they can't play online but still they could play more of the game then the legal buyer on day one >.<! I found out that night that if you post on EA's BF forum that you can understand why people pirate games cause clearly Origin and other anti piracy tools are only meants to screw things up for the legal buyers. We legal buyers get punished and pirates can still play. So i told EA that if Origins was gonna do this with every big game that they force us legal buyers into piracy cause we pay money for a product we can't even play on day one while pirates can. EA was not ammused (yet allot of members agreed with me) and banned me without any warning. And i noticed once i was banned suddenly a group of EA supporters started to post massively, blamming me of being a pirate and that im the reason games get ruined (lets get it straight, i legal buyer complain about anti piracy tools and say i can imagine why people pirate am the reason for piracy? I just spend 50 euro's on a game i can't play thanks to origins). I mailed EA, asking why i was banned and explained why i wrote it and said i didn't pirate it but that i as legal gamer will not tolorate such crap much longer with all those insane protections that only make it hard for legal gamers and not for pirates (get a crack and you don't need origins or active connection like the infamouse DRM). I been playing for a week now and EA still hasn't awnsered me yet...so even more waiting.
Yeah EA really dropped the ball here. I really hope they not gonna do this crap with SW ToR, it is a idiotic way to launch a game (press the .exe icon, loads origin, goes to a webpage where you have to press start game and it loads the .exe that suppose to start the game >.<). I doubt anyone of EA read this or even care. But this is not how you treat gamers. I mean seriousely who made this whole idea up? Can't have been a gamer, must have been one of those former goverment employees who are used to send you to another desk before you get helped >.< |

cant believe your all thinking battlelog is the end of the world..
sure it has bugs but i can see where they where going with it, i am sure they will get it patched sono enough. Its easy to use, easy to find servers, easy to see your mates playing, game launches really fast when you do find a server. Once they fix it you will be able to form squads and join games as a squad.
Its actualyl really good when you think about it, hell i remember back when BC2 was released and the in game server browser was just broke on the PC and would take ages to respond to any command.. At least this works lol.. i mean OMG you have to click the bf3 icon on the desktop and then another button to start the game... its the end of the world arrrrrghhh

I also like battlel log, kida reminds me of Facebook for FPS'ers. No one likes change, but after awhile they get used to it, (steam) and now everyone is complaining about Origin. Whatever.. Do I have to jump though hoops? yup. Do I give a shit? Nope. Am I having fun with my friends? You betcha!! Hey coyote, instead of commiting mass murder, buy a console and shut the fu4k up.. We PC gamers are proud to have to work for our games to run even though we spent a bazillion dollars to upgrade and still shi1 still wont work. Girlfriend: Why are we broke goddammit? Me: upgrade, the fire, the smoke, buildings crashing all around us!!! Girlfriend: What the fuck are you talking about?? Me: I think it's time you get a second job. |

@=FTS=Fish Coyote has a point. Its really stupid you have to work your way trough all the clicking. Im a pc gamer, always been and i don't mind installing a game but this is just silly. Beside whats wrong with ingame server finding like it always used to be hm? It worked fine. Don't speak of "we as pc gamers" when its just you and perhaps a few others. Beside being forced to use a program that spies on your pc and is broken and still in beta isn't a good thing. Why do you think bioware does not want SW ToR to start with origin only. EA forced this on PC gamers, PC gamers are not ammused that they have to use Origin and are forced to use the battlelog. Those things should be a option, not something you have to do. Maybe people don't like it that everything they do is posted ever thought about that? Yes you are a fan of it, doesn't mean that those who aren't are wrong. And don't bring up the "buy a console blabla" cause its a idiotic way how publishers treat PC gamers these days and they should know who made them big and treat pc gamers more fairly. Legal buyers are tired of all the bullshit trown at them while pirates and console gamers have no issues. If you don't mind fine, but that doesn't mean we are wrong. WE PC GAMERS ARE SICK AND TIRED HOW WE GET SCREWED AND NEEDLESLY HAVE TO WORK OUR WAY AROUND THINGS TO GET THINGS DONE. |

Fantastic read.....I am cracking up over here. Especially this: Gunna cry fatty? Gunna squirt some? You will waddle your mammoth ass through whatever hoop we hold up, won't you tubby? We have your soul in a little jar and every once in a while we hold it up to the light and just shake the ever loving piss out of it in order to make a snow globe out of your tears." I couldnt stop laughing. |

Nice read. And yeah, it was painful to get the game running. However, once you do, you forget about all the sh*t they made you go through. Battlefield 3. Is. Amazing. Let them shake the jar, as long as they let me play the game. Here's the vaseline.

Funny stuff :) I think Battlelog is what Origin should have been like. A social platform that connects all your EA friends together. It would be nice if I could see on my Com-center that my friend is playing FIFA12 and challenge him the same way I can join my friends playing BF3. |
