As mentioned I don't believe the ranking system is very reliable, buy TOR you will be glad you did! :) |

You've just got to decide for yourself if it looks good to you. Im VERY certain, its not going to be an unbroken, uplayable mess. They've worked a lot on story. Id say you'll see the same kind of dialogue scenes that are on par with others in past games. The game seems to have WoW mechanics. This is stuff they've shown.
So I figure there is lots to like there. Ive bought awful games that critics and players loved, and Ive bought great games that didnt get glowing reviews. Research the game, check it out, and if it looks like having, give it a go. Check Youtube, here, the Swtor site and forums, and wherever else to get news and check things out for yourself.
Dont worry about hype. I dont think mmorpgs hype meter sucks. Its not perfect but it is what it is. But that really should have no affect on whether you like the look of this game or if you want it. And there's fine reasons to have that opinion. |

I agree with others here, the ratings mean jack squat! For a long time they had a particular MMO at the top of the list that hardly anyone even played or cared about and ironically the one that the most people play is never at the top. It's all total BS! |

This site means very little in user rankings. |

Forget the rankings they mean nothing. If you love WoW and it's gameplay buy it. If you don't like WoW avoid it like the plague. |

People got frustrated when they pushed back the release date from spring 2011. Thats when the nerd rage began against this game, at least as far as the hype meter on this site goes. |

Look if your interested you take a chance at playing any game. You will either like it or you wont, guess what thats when you make your decision. Dont go solely on the hype of a game. What you will like in a game will certainly differ from what I like in a game. Think of it like gambling, sometimes you win.... Sometimes you loose... |

I will give BioWare $50 bucks to play SW:TOR because they are BioWare. They've never let me down. Now whether SW:TOR is good or not will determine if I subscribe. |
