WOW is gonna have more Eastern influences like this because that's where the majority of it's subs are coming from. WOW in the West will take a huge beating when TOR,GW2 and TSW comes out. Blizzard to me are just looking down the road ahead of time so when it does happen they will continue to roll as usual.

If i had to actually take a guess and predict the future, i would say that WOW will go full F2P with in the next year give or take. It's gonna make the most business sense for Blizzard to do so. Asian's don't pay for subs, and they will have no choice if they want to keep all those in the East playing.

If you can tell me one mainstream succesful MMO with FPS game style i will agree with you. But in my opinion MMO players are very comfortable and happy with EQ/WOW style combat.

You are generalising once again and fail to understand that adults and kids enjoy cartoon/animated Pandas equally. When i went to see Kung Fu panda majority of audience were grown up. It is not something exclusive to Asians.

Mmorpgs have incorporated tab targetting largely due to technological restraint. But, as you may be aware, technology tends to improve over time, and it looks like your twitch skill may just have to do the exact same thing.

I might join wow when they add pink unicorns as a playable race, from the looks of it might be soon girls. :D lol

Yes, you hit it. TOR alone may not do it, but add in the other two and yes, WOW can lose that many players in the West for sure. Hell, they already have the first 20 levels F2P, it doesn't take much of an imagination to think they won't do the same for the whole game. They also now, introduced RMT's where you can buy gold and item's will real life money. Doesn't take a genious to see the path they seem to be taking.

Blizzard know what they are doing..Bioware don't get a choice with what they do since they are EA/Lucas' bitch.  For every one person saying WoWs next expansion is lame retarded etc i bet there are 9 others who don't go to forums but will be buying the expansion.

You're correct. My friend is in the real TOR beta and the bull you read on this site and others about TOR being not good or polished and is just a WOW clone are so far off that it's not even funny.

WoW is losing subs in the West on their own at this point, bud. You don't think SWTOR/GW2 will have any kind of impact? Hell, Rift even made a small dent into their playerbase and most gamers had no clue that the game even existed.

Time has caught up with WoW which was obviously inevitable. WoW will be around for years to come, but that will be sans the crown. It's been one helluva run, though.

Hey , i've been here a long time, look at my date. I'm not one to say WOW is gonna die from this game or that one. What i am saying is that with the new games that are coming out and the majority of WOW players being in the East, WOW here in the West will take a huge hit. WOW is long in the tooth and i really honestly think people want a change. This is just my opinion, don't take it personal.

And Blizzard has lost over a million subs over the last year.  Yes, that still leaves them with a shitload of subs, but losing a million is a sign that what we've all been talking about is actually happening.  You must have forgotten that.  But like you said, people forget.

It's not a matter of not learning it is simply a matter of projecting what they want to happen on the current situation. The WoW hate runs deep for some reason. Warhammer, AoC, Rift, all WoW killers. All failed to kill WoW. Now we are simply using the multiple release scenario instead. So now we don't have one WoW killer we have many all taking their piece until WoW has nothing left. All of this due to Pandas.

It's funny because if you say ToR will be F2P in 6 months people get all defensive yet saying it about WoW is ok. History shows that besides Rift all of the WoW killers are now F2P yet it will be WoW that fails. Once again all because of Pandas and an Asian theme.
