I guess somehow, SWTOR dropped to #6 while WOD came out of nowhere last week to take the #2 spot, lol. I know better then to trust their setup, but congrats anyways! |

Because the rating system is accurate, right? I mean, there isn't a post, every week, complaining about how things jump up and down or how {insert random MMO} was able to jump up to #1 without reason. |

And keep in mind how many trolls and fanbois of other games vote it down for the lulz. |

Originally posted by Quesa Most likely not, since SWTOR dropped from #2 to #6 in less then a week, while 4 other games that weren't there last week, just magically made it back to #2, #3, #4 and #5 spots. Just figured I'd give my congrats to a game that has basically nothing more than a1+ year old video to show its worth. |

Congrats also to WOD. Im anticipating more information and the release as well. Im greatly looking forward to SWTOR, TSW, and WOD. Lots planned MMO-wise next year. Part of me likes them more because it's not Fantasy mmo #1001. ***Shows ventrue ladies how to party and Dance!*** Everyone on MMORPG.com before every thread put the letters IMO as you and I dont speak for the gaming community or anyone else. Playing: SWTOR, Eve Online, and World of Tanks. |

"Dragona" was at #3, and just recently had its hype meter locked. They supposedly deleted all the fake accounts that had been hyping games up or down. Looks like most games in the top 15 went up, while some less deserving games went down. Sarcasm is not a crime! |

ya i wouldn't read too much into that some of the games that knocked swtor down were brand new games we hardly knew a thing about its easy to love what you have nothing to complain about and gamers love to complain more than they love to play games :) |

I hardly pay attention to any of the meters on this site. They're rarely accurate.

The reason SwTOR is not as 'highly anticipated" as WoD is because SWTOR has a release date now. I am eagerly awaiting WoD because we know very little really and I'm interested in how CCP handles the property. SWTOR has shiteloads of info to read about , a pre-order and comes out in a few months.(plus I've played the Beta twice) This eases nerves imo. We pretty much know what to expect..and there will be those who will play and those who won't. Like every game. I will likely play both at some point. Unless WoD misses the mark entirely. |

I am suprised at the amount of anticipation for this game oO........ Not that this is a bad thing mind you as I love the IP and am eagerly looking forward to the game....... just didn't know others had much interest in the IP, pen and paper RPG or the Novels. Warms the cockles of my heart. |

I played and owned most of the RPG books before the first changes...for MAge..Werewolf..Wraith..you name it. Even LARPED for a few years (yeah..I know). The only novels I read were "the Masquerade of the Red Death" trilogy which i remember as being very well done. It will be interesting which game...WoD or TSW will succeed the most in conveying a real world with "secret" societies. P.S. Just wanted to let everyone know that I did manage to LARP for 2 years without ever affecting a fake British accent. I did have to maintain a fake italian with broken english accent when playing a Giovanni once. (It was for show to everyone but clan and associates...my character was born in an italian-american family and was embraced by their murderer. You know the usual stuff.) |

Is this thread for real? Or have I just been transported back to 2nd grade? Where "My _________ is better than your ________" was still in vogue...
And what makes this even more hilarious is that you're chattering over something utterly irrelevant: an MMORPG.com metre... This has to be a joke thread!

Doh, its obvious that the moderators have made a change to the hype meters (like I've noticed earlier too). How can SW:TOR drop from #2 to #6 when it went from 7.92 earler to 8 now?? The fact that SW:TOR has a release date now should make people even more hyped by the way... not less. |

I agree. Personally, WoD is the game I am looking forward to the most of any game coming in the future. If they are able to come close to representing the paper and pencil version in a sandbox style game, it might represent the biggest departure from the MMO norm as it exists right now. Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

count me among those awaiting WOD more than TOR. i was interested in TOR for only about ten minutes. no offence, but star wars does nothing for me. four of the six movies made me cry and everything else involved with it has been more cynical than creative. the thing about WOD that would make it attractive to enough people is that not only is it based on a very solid RP base, it's got a lot of cred with CCP behind them. I know CCP's been in the outhouse this past few months, but you can't deny the reality that they've built a game which, if modified, appeals greatly to most people who've played the pen and paper version of WOD, or have a passing interest in it via the card games or whatnot. That EVE is so dependant on the creativity and initiative of the player more than the regurgitation of mario brothers bosses or quake maps for their pvp is a welcome sign to many looking for that ever-elusive immersive MMO which remembers that, quite often, the MMO used to be followed by RPG. for me, it's exciting enough to check up on quite often at the slightest whiff of news. not that it's the only game i'm looking forward to, but in all seriousness i can see why WOD has been growing in interest. especially with CCP tinkering more with EVE. and while EVE players have been tetchy about it, i think the WOD players are sitting there thinking that if THAT's the level of eye-candy CCP want to play with for WOD, then this is probably going to need a better pc than the one i've got. i may have to gaffa tape a few videocards together for it. and not only would it LOOK sweet, but given CCP's track record of encouraging some serious player creativity in-game to create their own world, it's probably going to be every bit as ruthless, interactive and (dare i say it?) bloody as it should be. joy! (please note: not a rabid fanboy. just letting you know that there might be a few of us who - shock horror - just aren't looking at anything to do with TOR...) |
