edit: It'd be nice if we could see the changes some of the other races are getting. I think I read the Castanics and High Elves would be getting model changes as well months ago, but I haven't seen any news about them.

They do seem creepily overzealous about it, but at the same time, the changes do seem rather half-assed.  I guess its part of the same reason "westernization" takes so long.  It's not exactly a full fledged dev team?  Having an artist spend a day or two redoing a few entire outfits must be more manpower than they can spare.

If they don't release very very soon they're going to find out that short skirts isn't the main problem they'll face on the western market anymore.

There won't be more than a handful of players left to care about the whole damn game.

That being said, in times were pixels getting shot in the head, torn apart and slaughtered by the gigazillions each day, all this censorship and hypocrisy about the Elin shorts is beyond ridiculous. Give me back the original Elin and **** off with your pedophile bullcrap talk.

My problem is not that it possibly sexually attracts me, because it doesn't. My problem is that some suits at F***ster obviously think it could -to me it is them who need help.

These particular shots with hotpants make them look like hollywood showgirls. Hope they have some other lines too. Don't think these are way more decent anyway.

Stuff like this looks better imo. Just add a few inches to that hemline et voila, decent elin.

TBH I dont even remember what the old ones looked like anymore. Seems fine.

lo @ all those people freaking out. I know for a fact that there will be mods that make them look slutty again. Sure only the users and anyone else with the mod can see it, but eh. I don't care for the change myself, but I also don't plan to play the game unless I get a free trial and happen to enjoy it.

Stop saying those against the changes are pedophiles.

The only reason we are pissed at it is because yet again, a random american parents association had power over a GLOBAL videogame (I dont see why american mothers have power over european releases)  that is not even supposed to be played by people under a certain age and most certainly not by their kids.

I could not care less for the Elins,  i do care about random external groups having power over MY entertainement.

Supposed to and yet they do. Seriously it is futile these days to stop your under age kids from getting exposed to internet. they always find the way so i guess it is upto gaming companies also along with parents to get responsible. One can not clap wiht one hand.

But forget kids i am an adult and even i find this race unsettling.

Personally I prefer characters having armor that makes sense but I dont see TERA having that which is fine if thats the way they want to make it... doesnt make me feel like I need to go accuse others who like the design of being child molesters, but I guess some arent intellectually mature yet and since there isnt anything stopping anyone who has fingers from typing on the internet...

People who are primarily just concerned about the general censorship issue, I'm curious, is there anything you would find offensive enough to warrant this sort of change?  I mean, a lot of people consider content that promotes pedophilia to be way up there on their own personal list of evils - that is, worse than censorship.  

So, I'm wondering, is it that some consider censorship to be the worst of all?  Not talking about actual rape or murder, but just, when it comes to video game content?  Is there any sort of line you think really shouldn't be crossed?

Before the anti-moral panic spirals out of control, let me remind you all that this change is a step away from sexualization and objectification. It's a good thing. Just because something is part of another culture doesn't make it inherently good.

I have more than a few South Korean friends who are girls and all of them wear make up. All of the time. Because their culture says women have to wear make up to be beautiful. Of course, that part of their culture isn't positive.

So, even if the Ellins do have a basis in Asian culture, it doesn't seem to be a positive one. In fact, it seems to draw from the ?? sector of the culture, as my Korean friends would say.
