We do agree that it is silly, but not exactly for the same reasons, because weight have not much to do with it. The kite is too small and it would be stupid to do this in broad daylight anyways are my reasons. I own a 11th century armor (replika of course) and while it is heavy and it sucks running far in it it is not so heavy that many people expect it to be, and it doesn't slow me down much in combat. Just like a real sword weights a lot less than most RPG players think, surprisingly many have complained that my historically accurate blade weights far too little for a real blade (or what they think a real blade would weight). |
