Despite all the furor over a possible Darkfall wipe, there is a stealthy way to accomplish the same goals a wipe would accomplish.  Leave Darkfall's old servers as they are and create two new ones for NA and EU.  Which has me thinking about some of the fuss on the Age of Conan forum over the Blood and Glory servers.  Many players on the established pvp servers, both NA and EU, are not happy with Blood and Glory, even though it has clearly brought in new and returning players.

New servers in old games (old in MMO years=+6 months these days) inevitably impacts players on the existing servers.  But a lot of people are playing AoC who otherwise wouldn't be because they knew they could roll on one of the Blood and Glory servers and not have to deal with the massive level and skill gap between their character and established ones.

Can anyone imagine EVE, for example, opening a second server for that reason, though?  But there's the option I'm not giving in this poll, because it's too easy.  I'm not going to give a, "Depends on the game," option.

New server will be the only way to bring back many and bring in new players end of story.

I think merging NA and EU is the best option. Where to put the server is a good question, but the biggest problem with DFO is population and I think this would definitely help. I also think Aventurine should re-enlist -everyone- who has purchased the game. I first heard the idea from Ryan over at http://blog.mmosmacktalk.com, so it surely isn't my original idea, but it is one I 100% agree with.

If you're not going to give a depends on the game option, you're not going to get any meaningful results. There are no one size fits all solutions. Everything depends on context.

 Only when you ask general questions in specific terms and exclude the most common choice. Had you asked "Would adding  new servers help or hurt Darkfall" Yes/No you might have learned something.

Didn't include my choice.

"I like it. I have left old toons for new servers for that fresh start experience, it maybe the best part of an MMO."
