Seven years since EnB's demise, and I still haven't forgiven EA!! the taint of that shutdown means I am very VERY cautious about SWTOR... EA pull the plug the moment that they can do in order to maximise their profits (they still do ask any LOTR:BfME2 player!! Sure SWTOR will be a hit even if it is only WoW in Star Wars Clothing (which is what I saw on E3 footage), but 2 years in.. who knows what those guys will do. Anyway on a more positive note, EnB for me was the best MMO ever made before or since. In its intiial release it created communities like no other MMO before or since (the group bonus XP for people escorting people around new sectors was inspired! - only once that was nerfed did the thing unravel). On Auto Assulat certainly the most orignal MMO I ever played, I loved it.. but it seemed no-one else did.. shame that. |

Chronicles of spellborn had some really poor world design. I hated the way the world was so cramped in every area and retreaded and just cobbled together. I did like their comabt mechanic with the tumblers that kinda of chained into bigger spells, but just couldnt get past the poor world design. I actually really liked auto assault too, but it was so grindy and reptitve in beta and I never could make myself become a paying player of it. Just seemed kinda shallow in the game play area but I loved customizing the cars. Maybe with sometime and more content I would have bought it. AC2, man how I loved that game despite all its faults. But what a horrible lesson in customer service Turbine taught us. Its really hard for me to put Turbine on a "best of" list just for the way they ruined AC2. Never forgive. Never forget. |

What has MicroSoft got to do with Asheron's Call 2 closing down? It was Turbine's decision, not MicroSofts. |

Microsoft has a pretty checkered past with canceling games. True Fantasy Online and there was a game called Gods and Heroes (I think) that got canceled in development. Of the games that have been canceled I definitely would put Asheron's Call 2 on the top of the list. It was a lot of fun. Another game that I really like although most people would say doesn't really count as an MMO is Phantasy Star Online. |

Fanatics are picturesque, mankind would rather see gestures than listen to reason. |

This is a waste of time and energy. These games got canceled for a reason. They weren't worth the time, effort, and energy. Hell no one even gave two shits about any of these games till after they were gone. It's like when a movie star dies and they smoke copious amounts of crack and shoot up on heroine all the time. No one looks at all the stupid things the star does they just go into nostalgia mode and say to everyone and themselves "BEST ACTOR EVA!". Reality is, no. They sucked then and they suck now.
